What Students Say
Likes
- It’s an interesting place to be. Faculty members for the most part are fairly supportive and the team of students running clubs and organizations are successful at getting people engaged.
Dislikes
- The commuter campus aspect of the campus. There is often little engagement between faculties because of this and a difficult transit experience for those living on the other side of the city.
I chose this university as the program I’m in is brand new, providing a fresh look at the built environment as a whole, unlike other universities. University is a unique experience. It’s much different than schooling before. You don’t know everyone in your school let alone even your program, making it much for self sufficient than previous schooling. It’s a challenging experience but feels much more rewarding than high school, with assignments posing actual difficulty and high level thinking requirements.
Course Curriculum
Considering the brand new nature of my program, I believe it is very relevant. The course content focuses on current issues in the real world rather than ones from a decade ago when the world was much different.
Faculty
Although I am not sure of the exact ratio of faculty to students, I know that they are incredibly helpful to the overall student body. Professors are personable, providing a one-on-one connection with students and administrators are excited to help, at least the ones connected to my school.
Campus Life
The campus is fairly lively, with events held by clubs and organizations on a fairly frequent basis. The university has a reputation for being a commuter campus which means that some days it can be quite quiet around the grounds. Besides that, everything else is top-notch with high-speed wifi, clean facilities, and a selection of food and beverage vendors.
Placement
Since my program is brand new, there is no one in the workforce yet so I am unable to answer this question.
Accommodation
I have no idea the average rental price on campus as though I don’t live there. However, I know that the average apartment in this city can range from 600-1000$ a month for rental on the low end.
Exams
- I did not take any tests for my university however, international students have to be proficient in English at a University level. I believe the students have to take a test for this, though I'm not sure which one. - Requirements: I did not have to submit any of these things- SOP, LOR or CV for my program. The most I had to submit was my high school transcript.

Scholarship
I received the Rutherford Scholarship for achieving over an 80% average in all three years of high school.
