Vancouver Community College admissions are offered for the term starting in January, May and September. Admissions to some programs are offered either for September or January intake. International students may apply for Vancouver Community College admissions in 3 bachelor's degrees, 31 diplomas and 91 certificate courses. To be eligible for undergraduate admissions at Vancouver Community College, applicants must have completed a 2 year diploma or high school with 2.0 GPA (65%) or above. Some courses may also require additional scores in Grade 12 mathematics or English. 

Vancouver Community College admissions to diploma programs is somewhat similar to undergraduate programs. However, some courses may require additional scores in high school subjects along with assessment results. Those applying for technology or design courses may be required to submit a portfolio, letter of intent and personal resume with their application. Vancouver Community College offers a post-degree diploma to international students in two courses. The two programs offered by the college are Business and Project Management Post-Degree Diploma and Canadian Business Management Post-Degree Diploma. Each course has specific admission requirements. However, the basic requirements for admission are the same for both the courses.

Vancouver Community College Admission Decision

On an average, the Vancouver Community College issues admission decisions within 2 weeks of receiving an individual's application. Application for some programs may take longer to process and decisions for the same can be issued after 2 or more weeks after application submission. 

Vancouver Community College Selection Criteria 

Vancouver Community College acceptance rate is 50% as the admissions are moderately selective. The selection procedure at VCC is based on a first-come first -serve basis. Which means whoever applies earlier will be considered for admissions. Out of those, only applicants meeting the minimum criteria will be offered admissions either on conditional or unconditional basis.

International applicants that do not have the minimum score requirements may study at ILAC or ILSC language partner schools for fulfilling the admission requirements.

If there are seats available in the specific course an applicant has applied for, the admissions are offered. However, if seats are not available, a waitlist is available. Waitlist applicants are not given an update until seats are available and the application is accepted. The application processing time is around 6-8 weeks.
