Campus Life

  • In Fleming we have 3 locations. One is in Peterborough, Lindsay and the last one is in downtown Toronto. As it is mentioned in the question, we have all the facilities and also a pub and a bar inside the campus.
  • The major sports event is football, hockey, and baseball. We have a student counsel named Fleming SOC, they are for the students. They will organize some events like fund raising for charity etc.
  • The major campus festival is the Halloween party that takes place on October 31st. We don't have any extracurricular activities like India. But they have football, baseball and hockey clubs.

  • As I mentioned, I got my room from India. That family was from my state, so it was easy for me to pass the early stages. I just posted on the FB market page and they contacted me.
  • My monthly rent was $375 with all inclusive with high speed internet, laundry and kitchen, etc. There are scams going on. We should pay $50, just to see the room.
  • There are some facebook groups, we just post a ad regarding the rental, landlords will DM us. If we pay, they will just disappear. It was just a KM from my house and 5 min by bus.

Parties are organized, but the college lacks a good library with up-to-date books. Additionally, you will be required to purchase books costing between 250 and 300 CAD.

575 CAD for a twin sharing room including all facilities. Many houses in Peterborough are in poor condition due to more occupants than legally allowed.

Campus is the biggest drawback of this college, it has a small campus, just 2 floors.

It was fun but not as much interactive as you’d expect. I think university would have more to offer. For a college it has minimum.

Accommodations are based off what you can afford. I lived in shared because I wanted to save money but if you want a room for yourself than it’s at least $800 or more.

The campus life was full of creativity, enthusiasm and open mindset students. I learned a lot in campus activities like leadership, creativity and right execution of visualizations. There is a club called SCA(student council association) that deals with all kind of inhouse activities and college fun activities like sports, indoor games, quizzes, competitions, cultural fests and orientation etc. I was the head of the sub club called as VIEW FINDER that involves students with talented skills of filmmaking and photography. Though I never been to library, but its one of the quietest place in college that offers a private conference room if anyone wants to do a group meeting or assignment. Even the library has a unique collections of books. PRO TIP - Always use Tim Horton's WIFI as it is more effective and catches good connection and also used by few.

When I landed here in Canada on May 5, I already booked a house in Brampton where I stayed for 3 months then I went to Peterborough. It was a shared accommodation, with 6 people living in the house. The rent was $450 on sharing basis as I was sharing a room with a boy. Here in Canada, to rent a house or room, a student needs to pay first and last month rent.

They have a library Wi-Fi but there are no sports facilities because the campus in Toronto is like really small. It’s just two floors of the building. But they organize field trips to various places.

I stayed at a rental basement in Brampton but nowadays the basements are too expensive like you have to pay $500 in a sharing room and utilities extra.

The campus of Fleming College Sutherland campus is the most beautiful among the other campuses and the biggest one. We have a very well equipped gym and swimming pool which has free membership for Fleming students.

Accommodation is not too expensive nor too cheap. You can easily find good and cheap accommodations near the college.

Fleming is an amazing college. I heard about it from my friend and read it on the internet about its rankings.

My accommodation was done by my agent and I'm glad it was great and I stayed with my roommates until graduation. Living in sharing and including groceries in Peterborough will cost approximately $600 per month. However, it depends on how you spend on your other needs.

I chose this university because of the curriculum and they also provide 4 months field internship.
