Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] [Allied Health and Pharmacy] From Charles Sturt University

Academic Eligibility: 

• Students have qualified for the award of a Master by Research at an acceptable level.
• Students must appropriate Bachelor's degree with class 1 or class 2(i) honors from an Australian university or an equivalent overseas tertiary institution, taken over a minimum of four years (full-time equivalent).
• Students need to have qualified for the award of a coursework Master’s degree with a research project and thesis/dissertation component. It is normally expected that a grade equivalent to the appropriate class of Honours will have been obtained.
• Some other appropriate combinations of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications (such as relevant graduate diplomas) and research experience demonstrate the capacity to undertake research at a Doctoral level.

Indian Eligibility:

• Students need to have a minimum of a first-class or upper second with a minimum of 60-80% on an institutional basis in a graduate degree.
• Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

PhD degree is a doctorate level degree and is the highest educational degree one can earn in the country. Generally one does not pursue higher education on completion of a PhD Health Science course. 

Employability is high and graduates are hired quickly upon completion of their degree in high pay job profiles. With this knowledge, there is no limit to learning and knowledge.

• After completing this course, students can opt for teaching jobs in colleges/universities and then clear the UGC-NET exam required to become a permanent lecturer.
• Students can also opt for jobs as a Scientist and indulge in the research activities. 
• Students can also opt for a DSc (Doctor of Science) degree in any related field. 
• Once you finish your PhD you can also be qualified for a lecturer post in Health Science and also to teach in colleges and universities with UGC scales.
