Dislikes:

  • Scholarship can be better and the fees keeps on increasing. Sometimes the support is not received on time. Regarding my case I selected a wrong unit but they did not let me joining another unit stating I was late for enrollment. null

Campus Life

Everything is well calibrated and top notch. However I felt there is not much support for mac users during some conditions.

Do your research and be free from other's opinion. Nothing is difficult here if you have good research skills. Everything is easy here if you are well managed and know what you are doing.

I have been lucky enough to be able to live at home where I don't have to pay rent or pay for groceries. So I am able to instead focus on getting my textbooks and worrying about my study rather than my finance. The only downside to this is that I am not close to uni and have to drive around 30 minutes each way to and from uni which is not only frustrating and sometimes an inconvenience but also costs me more fuel. I also have to pay for parking which is not cheap.

Completed year 12 in the same city. Was and still am living with, and as I have no work experience and had and still have no income; couldn't afford to move out yet alone move to another city. The University of Canberra was the only university within my city that offered the course I was interested in.

Living on campus is great. You get to meet a lot of people and save time traveling from the suburbs. Generally, get a good size room for under 300 dollars per week which is not expensive at all for the place you get.

I love the environment of the campus. You don't have much pressure from peers about studying hard and the degree is driven by you and not by pressure from your peers. Great facilities on campus, the accommodation is only minutes of walking away.

Because it was the only university in the city/area that I wanted to study in that offered the particular degree that I want to do! So basically it was due to the limited availability of the degree in the area.
