MAH MCA CET 2026 Result Declared – What to Do Next: CAP Counselling, Documents & Deadlines

As the MAH MCA CET 2026 results were declared on May 19, 2026, candidates can start registering for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) from July 2026.

Candidates should register for CAP and continue with document verification. Once the document verification is done, MCA candidates can choose and fill out their college choices. There will be three rounds of seat allotment for MCA admissions in CAP for Maharashtra colleges.

• The official date for CAP counselling registration and document verification has not yet been announced.
• However, it is tentatively expected to begin by June 2026, and candidates can register at cetcell.mahacet.org.

Since the results are released. candidates can download their MAH MCA CET 2026 scorecard from the official website (cetcell.mahacet.org) and get 2-3 photocopies of it.

• Then, candidates can register for CAP counseling and can fill their college choices based on their preference.
• After all the steps are completed, candidates should wait for round 1 seat allotment.
• If you don’t get a seat in round 1, stay updated for round 2 and 3 seat allotments.
• If you get a seat in either of the seat allotment rounds and you are satisfied with the seat, you can proceed forward by accepting the seat, paying the fee and reporting to the college offline with original documents.

Documents Required for MAH MCA CET 2026 CAP Counselling

Candidates must ensure whether they have all the required documents for CAP counselling and admission, and prepare accordingly. All the documents required for verification should be kept ready and handed over before the deadline. The following documents are mandatory for CAP counselling 2026:

• Candidates should download their MAH MCA CET 2026 Scorecard and get 2-3 printed copies of it.
• You should also carry your graduation marksheets of all semesters / years and your degree certificate.
• Make sure you have your Class 10 (SSC) and CLass 12 (HSC) marksheets and passing certifications.
• Along with these educational documents, carry your Maharashtra Domicile Certificate for Home State / HS quota candidates.
• If you are applying for reservation, get your Category Certificate which includes OBC (non-creamy layer), SC, ST, EWS, PwD (as applicable).
• You should also have an ID proof with a clear photo of yourself (Aadhaar card / Passport / Driving License).
• Carry 4-5 passport-size photographs.
• If you are eligible for tuition fee waiver, get your Income Certificate (EWS and tuition fee waiver (TFWS) candidates).

MAH MCA CET 2026 CAP: Important Rules to Remember

Candidates are advised to keep these 4 rules to keep in mind, while participating in CA CET 2026 counselling. Following these steps can help the candidates get their dream college in the CAP seat allotment rounds.

• Top 7 preference rule: If you get a seat from your top 7 preferences, you should accept it. When you refuse it, there are high chances that you won’t get that seat or a seat better than that in the next rounds.
• Upgrade option: If you accept a seat in Round 1, you can still participate in Round 2 and upgrade (or) freeze your seat. Mostly, it is advised that you accept a seat in Round 1 as you have the option to upgrade, and by the end of counselling you will have a seat.
• OMS quota: Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates compete in a separate merit list with limited seats.
• TFWS seats: Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme seats have separate cutoffs. You can only apply for it, if you meet income criteria.
