Charges Payable Over and Above the Tuition Fee
The management quota table covers yearly fees alone. MVJCE lists four more heads that students pay every year. The amounts below are the ones published in the college fee sheet for 2026-27.
| Charge Head | Amount (INR) |
|---|---|
| College Fee | 20,000 |
| Skill Lab Fee | 15,000 |
| University Charges | 12,320 |
| Examination Fee | 6,500 |
| Eligibility fee for non-Karnataka students | 1,500 |
The eligibility fee is a one-time charge. It applies only to candidates from outside Karnataka. Hostel and transport charges sit outside this list as well.

MVJCE Fees 2026-27 by Admission Route
MVJCE fills B.E. seats through three routes. Each route carries a different fee for the same classroom.
| Admission Route | CSE Yearly Fee (INR) | Mechanical Yearly Fee (INR) |
|---|---|---|
| Management quota | INR 3.50 lakh | INR 1.50 lakh |
| AMPCK counselling | INR 3.02 lakh | INR 1.50 lakh |
| KCET through KEA | INR 88,000 | INR 88,000 |
The KCET figure is tuition only. A KCET candidate remits INR 1.20 lakh through KEA. Another INR 21,500 goes to the college, taking the first-year total to INR 1.41 lakh.
Example: a student taking Mechanical Engineering on a management seat pays INR 1.50 lakh a year. Over four years that is INR 6 lakh in tuition. The same branch under KCET costs INR 88,000 a year.
Core branches cost the same under AMPCK and management quota. The two routes split only on the computing branches. AMPCK charges INR 3.02 lakh for CSE, AIML, CSE Data Science and Information Science alike.

MVJCE Management Quota Seats 2026-27
The AMPCK brochure for 2026 lists the seat split for every member college. MVJCE is the largest college in that list.

|---|---|---|
| Management and NRI seats | 30% | 351 |
| AMPCK counselling seats | 30% | 351 |
| KCET seats through KEA | 40% | 468 |
Total sanctioned intake stands at 1,170 seats. So roughly one seat in three is a management or NRI seat. That share is spread across all 15 B.E. branches.
How MVJCE Management Quota Fees Have Changed From 2025-26

|---|---|---|
| Computer Science & Engineering | INR 3.50 lakh | INR 4.56 lakh |
| Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning | INR 3.85 lakh | INR 4.14 lakh |
| Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) | INR 3.50 lakh | INR 4.14 lakh |

| Aeronautical, Aerospace, ACT and VLSI | INR 2.45 lakh | INR 2.57 lakh |
| Chemical, Civil, EEE, IIoT and Mechanical | INR 1.50 lakh | INR 1.77 lakh |
CSE saw the sharpest cut of INR 1,06,480 a year. Core branches came down by INR 27,972. Fee sheets are issued afresh every session, so the 2027-28 figures may move again.
Who Can Take a Management Quota Seat at MVJCE?
The management route has a higher marks bar than the KCET route. Candidates need 60% aggregate in Class 10, Class 12 and in Physics and Mathematics. The KCET route asks for 45%, and 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates from Karnataka.
A management applicant must also have cleared one entrance test. MVJCE accepts KCET, COMEDK, JEE and the AMPCK entrance test. An online test on the campus is mandatory before the seat is confirmed.
Does a COMEDK Rank Get a Seat Through Counselling?
No. MVJCE does not appear on the COMEDK member institutions list. A COMEDK score works only as a qualifying entrance test for a management seat here. The seat itself is allotted by the college admissions office, not through COMEDK counselling rounds.
Scholarships That Cut the MVJCE Management Quota Fee
MVJCE runs the Dr M V Jayaraman scholarship scheme. The base award is a Post-Matric merit scholarship in three slabs. Slab one is above 80%, slab two is 70.00% to 79.99% and slab three is 60.00% to 69.99%, each measured across Class 10, Class 12 and PCM.
Once granted at admission, the merit slab holds for all four years. Several add-on waivers stack on top of it.
| Add-on Scholarship | Who It Is For | Extra Waiver |
|---|---|---|
| Sports Excellence | National level winners aged 10 to 18 | Additional 10% |
| Differently Abled | Above 80% permanent disability with UDID card | Additional 10% |
| Low Income Group | Family income below INR 1.4 Lakh a year | Additional 10% |
| Single Mother | Mother's income below INR 8 Lakh a year | Additional 10% |
| Linguistic Minority | Karnataka students with Tamil as mother tongue | Additional 10% |
| Alumni Referral | Child or sibling of an MVJCE alumnus | Additional 10% |
| North Eastern Student | Students from the eight north eastern states | Additional 10% |
The add-on waivers carry yearly conditions. Students must keep 85% attendance and above 7.8 CGPA, and clear all subjects in the first attempt. The low income and single mother categories also involve a verification cost of INR 7,500.
MVJCE Hostel Fees for 2026-27
Hostel charges are billed separately from tuition. The hostels sit inside the Whitefield campus. Boys are housed in three-sharing air-conditioned rooms, while the girls hostel offers two to six sharing across three floors.
Reported hostel charges run from about INR 60,000 to INR 1,31,000 a year. The figure moves with room sharing and air conditioning. The mess serves vegetarian food and is part of the hostel package.
How to Pay the MVJCE Management Quota Fee?
Management seats are handled only at the Admissions Office on the MVJCE campus. The college states it has no agents or middlemen for management, reserved or payment seats of any kind. Its 2026 admissions page describes management admissions as zero capitation, limited seats.
The college warns against agencies promising seats for a price. Applicants who submit false information have the admission cancelled and the fee forfeited. Suspicious offers can be reported to the college by email.
Fee queries go to the admissions helpline on +91 81 508 11 811 or to admissions@mvjce.edu.in. The published branch-wise sheet is the reference point for any figure quoted elsewhere. mvjce.edu.in
