- This program is a two-year course of study focused on developing skills in assessing, measuring, and controlling health impacts associated with physical, chemical, and biological agents in the environment and workplace.
- The curriculum requires 20-24 units of upper-division graduate coursework integrating multiple disciplines, with an emphasis on assessment of exposure to environmental contaminants, toxicology, environmental and occupational epidemiology, risk assessment, control strategies, and policy solutions.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent in engineering, biology, microbiology, immunology, environmental science, environmental studies, toxicology, and chemistry from an accredited institution.
- Students hold a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
- Common work experience for admitted applicants: Applicants in past years have worked as lab technicians, student researchers, research scientists, post-graduate fellows, toxicologists, industrial hygiene engineers, and for the Peace Corps.
- Applicants must have completed undergraduate coursework in chemistry and biology.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
