The program comprises of the following modules

Term Coursework Research/Project
1st Fall Core courses such as PGE 381 (Drilling Engineering), PGE 382 (Reservoir Engineering), PGE 383 (Advanced Reservoir Engineering) Begin selecting a research topic and advisor.
1st Spring Advanced courses like PGE 388 (Advanced Reservoir Engineering), PGE 389 (Economic Analysis in the Petroleum Industry) Continue research planning.
Summer Optional: PGE 398R (Master's Report) or PGE 698 (Thesis) Engage in research activities.
2nd Fall Elective courses such as PGE 381M (Transport Phenomena), PGE 381K (Engineering Analysis) Begin writing thesis or report.
2nd Spring Complete remaining electives. Finalize and submit thesis or report.
