- The bachelor’s in atmospheric science program students will study introductory and advanced atmospheric sciences, as well as mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
- Students will be able to discover how to predict weather and climate changes through theory, modeling, and observation and will lead the next generation of weather experts with a deep understanding of how atmospheric patterns impact resource use on a regional or global scale.
- Students will learn from faculty who are world leaders in their fields of research and have close collaborations with the Albany National Weather Service, located right on campus.
- In addition, students will have access to the New York State Mesonet, a collection of over 100 advanced weather observation stations located across the state.
- Students will effectively communicate with colleagues or others via clear and efficient writing or presentation techniques and will acquire new knowledge and abilities by embracing a lifelong perspective of inquiry, discovery, and learning.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of 120 credits and at least 60 credits in the liberal arts and sciences
- Students must achieve and maintain at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- The students should have completed the General Education Program at the University at Albany
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
- Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.
