- In the Environmental science program, will gain deep knowledge of the natural environment along with a detailed look at how human societies interact with the planet's landmasses, oceans and atmosphere.
- Students will explore major national and international issues including climate change, air pollution, water conservation, and biodiversity preservation.
- The BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Environmental Science is a combined major and minor where students can choose from one of four specializations: Climate Change, Ecosystems, Geography, Sustainability Science and Policy
- Each track has a customized set of classes. In addition to environmental science, students will complete core coursework in math, biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Students will get benefit from the expertise of faculty, who are highly recognized and active researchers in the field of environmental science and will effectively communicate with colleagues or others via clear and efficient writing or presentation techniques.
- Students will acquire new knowledge and abilities by embracing a lifelong perspective of inquiry, discovery, and learning.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of 120 credits and at least 60 credits in the liberal arts and sciences
- Students must achieve and maintain at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- The students should have completed the General Education Program at the University at Albany
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
- Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.
