The university regularly hosts exciting events like Homecoming Week, cultural festivals, and career fairs.
I enjoyed being part of student clubs, especially the Cybersecurity Club, which helped me grow both personally and professionally. - Facilities are available on campus:
1.The Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center for study and research
2. The E.L. Wiegand Fitness Center for sports and wellness
3. Student Health Center providing medical care and counseling services

I found my accommodation through online platforms and student groups (Indian Student Organization is one of the WhatsApp group for the UNR students) on Telegram. These groups were quite helpful in connecting with other students looking for roommates or available listings.
There are many apartment near university like you will find as near as 5 min walk from university in 400-700 per month.

Accommodation
Live off-campus. The university is a commuting school so people come and go for their classes. It does depend on the type of student, whether they like dealing with traffic or living far away from home. I heard on campus, you are required to pay for dining with your room but not so sure
In my hometown, I got brochures and info from high school. Online application to fill out. There was a $60 application fee for prospective students too. It can take 3-6 weeks for a denial/acceptance letter. I applied to 2 colleges including the current one. They were both in my home town, one university and one community. Chose because it's Close to home.

Renting studios can be expensive, so I rent a large house with other young adults to have lower rent. While apartment hunting I always asked what their student policy was to make sure they accepted students, no all places do.
I'm from the state and was admitted as soon as I applied because of my high school diploma and GPA. Also, they had a music program I could get into. I'm able to pay in state tuition which vastly changes the cost of college!
I had scholarships if I stayed in state. After moving from CA to NV I had to readjust my whole life plan. I only wanted to go to a 4-year university, and between the University of Nevada Reno and the University of NV Las Vegas, I wanted to experience real weather.
