New York Institute of Technology Courses and Fees 2025

• My course was a mix of both theory and practical.
• It's well curated. It brushes your basic skills first and moves to advanced courses and practicals.
• Sometimes one a day or 2 a day. They can be in the morning as early as 9am or as late as 6:30 - 10pm. And you will have a 4-hour class per subject per week. So each subject will be held once a week only. It leaves you ample time to finish the assignments given to finish at home.
• Number of students varied for each subject. minimum of 3 to a maximum of 12. I was the only Indian student for my course.

• Fees is credit wise... $1400 per credit. Since my course was an MFA course, I had 60 credits.
• You have to pay your fees semester wise which includes the sum of credits taken. While paying, there is an option of paying the money for the semester all together or pay in 3 installments. They charge $45 extra to choose the second option.
• Rent, transportation and groceries sum up to about $1000-$1200 monthly in jersey city.

• The difficulty level was medium for me; it was a mix of theory and practical projects.
• The positive aspect is that we got to interact and work with various professionals and students across the globe, like NYC, Paris, and Shenzhen. The negative is that due to COVID, we could visit Shenzhen in our third semester.
• There are typically 2 classes scheduled per day; the timing varies as per the subjects.
• My cohort was of 8 people; the next junior cohort was of 32 people. It depends on how many people have applied.
• My cohort had 6 Indian students out of a total of 8.

• Breakdown: tuition (credit-based); insurance: $1000 mandatory per semester; college fees: $400 per semester. We were charged semester-wise per credit. The course had fixed credits for each semester. Our fees were 1620 per credit for a total of 30 credits.
• Monthly expenses include rent, which will be around $1000-$1200 per month for a private room in NYC OR $800-$1000 per month in Jersey City. Food: $500. Travel: $250. Utilities (wifi, phone bill, electricity, etc.): $100-$150 in a shared apartment. Personal Expenses: $150.

The course curriculum is beginner friendly. The faculty support is amazing and really helpful.

I can say its a fast paced environment. The hard work is on students part and thats the only way you will learn a lot. You have the best Curriculum to follow which is designed to the course needs.

Its around 37,000$ CAD. More(obviously more) or less depending upon the institution’s change in fee structure.
