Campus Life
- NYC and Old Westbury. Everything is available at both the campuses.
- The school celebrates all festivals for all diverse communities. Celebrating Indian Festivals like Diwali, hispanic festivals, halloween etc is celebrated. There are several clubs hosted by different communities. You can sign up for multiple clubs.
- There are sport teams and games like baseball, etc., are played.
Accommodation
- There are groups on facebook and whatsapp to find temporary as well as permanent accommodations. ANd there are apps as well, but sometimes it can also be fraud. Happened to one of my friends.
- I found mine with the help of my friend who was already in the States.
- My monthly rent for a private room was $850, including all the utilities like gas, water, wifi, etc.
- Join the facebook groups, contact Indian students who already reside there and try to connect with them via linkedIn and they can easily help you. I have been helping a lot of aspiring students myself who text me on LinkedIn. My accommodation was off campus.

Likes
- Great Student to Teacher ratio
- Amazing practical opportunities to work with AIA, practical live projects that professors are working on
- Many options for Research Assistance, Teaching Assistance and Graduate Assistance.
Dislikes
- Lack of career fairs
- Less Diversity, majority of Indian Students only
- Lack of a campus setting, this is in a building in Manhattan which is at a very great location though.
Campus Life
- College has 2 campuses—one in Manhattan and one in Old Westbury. The Manhattan Campus is an urban campus consisting of 2-3 buildings. The Old Westbury campus is huge with lots of activities for students but it is majorly of undergraduate courses.
- There are various clubs for students - SASA is the south asian student association club which often hosts events for festivals and indian students. There are alot of free giveaways and lunches celebrating thanksgiving, independence day etc.
Accommodation
- I opted for off campus accommodation, using apps like Zillow and Hotpads.
- Monthly rent for me was $1250, which included the house, water, and kitchen appliances.
- One recommendation for students is to join local FB groups, college groups and engaging with seniors to find what the ground reality is before landing in USA. Securing a temp accommodation or living with a friend / senior before getting a permanent accommodation can be helpful to avoid scams.

- The course curriculum was beginner friendly for someone who is making a switch from engineering to management. Personally, I believe that New York City offers a wide range of opportunities to connect with like minded people and diverse individuals with multitude of perspectives.
- Faculty support and encouragement of student initiatives. I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer at events that helped me connect with industry professionals. Being an international student, it can be initially challenging to find right places to be at, people to talk to but volunteering is a great way to get yourself a kickstart into understanding better, helping the community and building a better place for everyone.
Dislikes
- I genuinely can't find anything to dislike about my college. It offers great education, supportive faculty, and an amazing campus atmosphere. Until now, the college support has been sufficient.
Campus Life
The campus life is good, there are extracurricular activities we can indulge in. These help us connect with fellow students and understand better about others.
Accommodation
I do not stay in the university accommodation. For a student staying outside, say in New Jersey or New York (not Manhattan), it would cost around 1200 USD for living expenses (including rent). This is just the minimum, can vary based upon various factors such as location, facilities, size of the house, number of people.

- University is good but not that helpful with the placements. All the events on campus opportunities are good. I would say if you are not looking for job seriously and believe that u can take care of your opportunities it's a good college
Dislikes
- I don't like how university is not helping that much with campus, resume review and these stuffs . They are little not experienced with the professional help aspect
Campus Life
More than Manhattan campus I feel long island campus is too beautiful and it feels home.
Accommodation
Dorms are very expensive I would not suggest that but I would take option to stay off campus network try to adjust but don't compromise.
Accommodation
You may suffer a little at the beginning if you don’t know someone in the city. But as you move on you will be eased. You can find sharing or single rooms according to your comfort. The accommodations are pretty decent in and around the city. A typical monthly expenditure may range between 400-600 for the rent and 200-400 for the food and daily needs. All you gotta do is build your connections. Never miss the orientation no matter what anyone says. Have a good circle of friends in your class. Thats all you need. I suggest you to make use of the resources like facebook to connect to people or find a room for yourself. But be cautious before you pay something to someone.
I am interested into security since its a basic requirement of everyday life and shows a promising career. And this is the only university that offers a course in cyber security. Also the city that this university is situated has a moderate climate conditions.
