What Students Say?
Likes
- The course curriculum was beginner friendly for someone who is making a switch from engineering to management. Personally, I believe that New York City offers a wide range of opportunities to connect with like minded people and diverse individuals with multitude of perspectives.
- Faculty support and encouragement of student initiatives. I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer at events that helped me connect with industry professionals. Being an international student, it can be initially challenging to find right places to be at, people to talk to but volunteering is a great way to get yourself a kickstart into understanding better, helping the community and building a better place for everyone.

Exams
My Scores: IELTS 8 Speaking: 8 Reading: 8 Listening: 8.5 Writing: 6.5 This was the only test score that I submitted. I've submitted SoP, LoRs and CV. For the SoP, make sure that you are drafting it on your own, include personal experiences and examples that made you interested in pursuing Masters in that field. Be specific about your purpose, goals and why you want to do that course. Add a personal human touch by quoting specific situations from your life that intrigued your passion towards the domain. Your work experience or internships are already there in your CV, utilize the SoP to share your story. For the LoRs, reach out to your professors that you worked with on any projects or who mentored you throughout the duration of your degree. If you have work experience, reach out to your direct supervisors or team leads for the same. Craft your CV strategically by curating it by adding relevant experiences. Quantify your results while mentioning about your experiences under bullet points. Be precise and specific. Reach out to different individuals for feedback and keep optimizing your resume until you find your perfect fit.

Faculty
The faculty support is great! We can always reach out to our professors if we need anything, be it related to academics, specific research interests or ideas that we want to pursue. They always are willing to help and guide us through our journey.
Campus Life
The campus life is good, there are extracurricular activities we can indulge in. These help us connect with fellow students and understand better about others.
Hostel
I do not stay in the university accommodation. For a student staying outside, say in New Jersey or New York (not Manhattan), it would cost around 1200 USD for living expenses (including rent). This is just the minimum, can vary based upon various factors such as location, facilities, size of the house, number of people.
