The traditional nursing curriculum at Illinois State University extends over four semesters of full-time study. Each semester of the academic year provides for the practice of skills and the application of knowledge through a variety of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. Students of this highly competitive program gain hands-on experience in a variety of patient scenarios using state-of-the-art equipment, including high-fidelity manikins and virtual reality. These experiences prepare students for clinical practice, providing care to patients in hospitals and clinics.
