  • The MS degree leads to a position in industry, agribusiness, extension, teaching, or research; for many, it is a prelude to admission to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program.
  • It requires one major and one minor subject.
  • The Animal Science program prepares students for study in veterinary medicine or careers in animal production, biotechnology, and conservation and has been nationally recognized for its work in animal breeding and genetics, nutrition, physiology, growth, behavior, and management.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in science or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • A GPA of 3.34 on a 4.0 scale is required to be eligible for the program.
  • Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
