University of Maryland Courses and Fees 2026

• The difficulty level of my course curriculum is medium to high. Overall, it depends on the individual's prior knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Up until my first semester, it has been a mix of both practical and theoretical aspects.
• The most positive aspects of the course that stand out to me personally are the interesting lectures given my world renowned professors.
• The negative aspect may be that classes are scheduled in the late evening and it might be colder during winter.
• Three classes are scheduled in a week. Timings would be around 6:00 PM to 8:45 PM. Depending on the section, times may wary. Sometimes, one can enroll for a class between 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM
• The average number of students in my class are 50
• Around 165 Indian students are enrolled in my course for the Fall Semester.

• Health Insurance: 4000 USD
• Taxes and books: 4000 USD
• Cannot stay on campus for Graduate International students.
• Fees is charged semester wise.
• Monthly expenses: 1500 USD (Including rent)
• Additional costs may include rent, transportation and groceries.
• The transportation provided by the university is exceptional and all the timings of the buses can be found by installing the Transit App.

The course curriculum is one of the best when it comes to colleges offering Information Systems in the USA. It is very well planned 16 month program such that it prepares you for the internship and full-time hunt.

The total tuition fee for my course was around 64,000$ back in fall 2021. This was just the tuition fees for the course which had 30 credits. In addition to that you have to take care of the other expenses such as rent, groceries, insurance etc. The fees now would be somewhere between 60 K- 70 K $.

This university was known for the mechanical program, I had also identified good faculty. The curriculum is pretty good. There are a wide variety of courses to choose from

I believe University of Maryland has the most updated curriculum for Cybersecurity with subjects like Cloud Security, Digital Forensics, Applied Cryptography covering different areas of Cybersecurity. Also this program is taught by professors who are industry professionals themselves, giving you a good chunk of time during the semester to network & build connections with them as this helps in the future when you start looking for internships & jobs and it gives you an idea of challenges in the industry currently.

The tuition fees for my program is 31,000 dollars approximately. 1086$ per credit and the Masters of Engineering Cybersecurity program is of 30 credits.
