- The ROI is really good compared to other US universities, which was a big plus for me.
- Plenty of on-campus job opportunities were available, making it easier to manage expenses.
- The funding for the mechanical department was great, especially for research projects and assistantships.
Dislikes
- There aren’t many tech companies nearby, which limits networking and job opportunities in the area.
- Weekends can get boring sometimes since there’s not much to do around here.
- Public transportation is pretty limited, making it hard to travel to nearby towns or cities without a car.
Campus Life
- The university has 2 campuses, one in Clemson and another in Charleston.
- Facilities available: ,Cafes,Canteen,Gym,Swimming pool,Indoor play facilities, Football ground
- The university is well-known for its football culture, with Clemson Tigers being a three-time winner. Matches are a major event and are held at the famous Death Valley, the home ground of the Clemson Tigers.
- There are always events happening on campus, ranging from sports to cultural activities. Sports, especially football, are a major attraction. There are also student organizations and clubs for a variety of interests, promoting active student engagement and participation.
Accommodation
- Accommodation did I opt for Off-campus.
- I used online platforms and Facebook groups to find it.
- The rent was $450–$500 for a furnished space, including utilities like WiFi, electricity, and water.
- Searching from India doesn’t provide an exact idea about the space or surroundings, and you also need to find a pair or group to share the accommodation.
- Try searching through groups or connecting with people to form a group. This will help you figure out better options and plan for upcoming accommodations.
- My accommodation is about 2 km from campus. Most Indian students stay in a place called Tillman Place.I’m

- Ranking is good and the program is exactly what I wanted. I also liked the curriculum.
- The university has Resources that I need, equipment and lab. The university is clean. I like the infrastructure. I am learning well and building on skills.
Dislikes
- My campus is in a different city and not in a main campus. I wish my department is still in the main campus or my campus has everything main campus has . I faced transportation issues.
Campus Life
Clemson has many campuses spread across different cities, main campus is in Clemson. The main campus is pretty good having medical center, amenities, clubs, sports, dorms, halls. Big thing about this university is Clemson tigers football team that plays really well.
Accommodation
Clemson offers many university places and dorms to stay in.

- Its an R1 university. The temperature is perfect because it is in the south. The campus is very pretty, and the football team is huge
Campus Life
A lot of clubs but usually centered towards undergrads and very less for grads even though you can join them but very difficult to manage time.
Accommodation
The average rental for a 1 bhk apartment is 600$.
Campus Life
The campus is one of the most plush and beautiful campus in all of the south Carolina. The university and it's satellite campuses are well connected through bus services. The university offers lot of student jobs on campus for the students to support their livelihood.
Accommodation
The accommodations in Clemson main campus is comparatively cheaper and well connected through bus services. The Greenville campus is located in Greenville and the housing in Greenville is a bit costly.
Campus Life
It is like you are in India, there are indians everywhere. We have football, soccer, basketball, badminton courts etc.... Karting is common too.
Accommodation
I share an apartment home with two other friends. I found the apartment online and through student contacts. It is off-campus. I use a car to commute daily. We make food at home regularly/ almost everyday and eat outside on social occassions.
Accommodation
The accommodation facility at Clemson is very cheap and it costs around $275-$350 per room (without utility costs). There are 2-room and 4-room apartments available. The rooms are separate for individuals (not shared rooms). Options for both furnished and non-furnished apartments are available and I would recommend having a furnished apartment booked.
I chose Clemson University since they have a lot of good courses to offer for the graduate program and I saw on their website that they had a lot of research opportunities.
Accommodation
For my specific course, you have to take care of your own accommodation. Clemson's main campus has on-campus housing.
I chose this college because it was one of the only colleges providing a specialized course for automotive engineers.
Accommodation
I live on campus because I find it cheaper and having to not deal with putting utilities or the internet in my name is nice. I looked at living off-campus but to still be able to walk to campus I would pay double per month for just rent, not including utilities. I currently do not have a meal plan because I like having control and enjoy cooking for myself.
I live very close to the university and always wanted to attend since I can remember. This is the only college I applied to partly because I was 26th in a class of 300 and had a 26 on the ACT so I felt confident in my chances to get accepted. I had many friends in the grades above me apply to Clemson so they showed me what was best to do and once accepted gave tips.
The reason most people come to Clemson is for that feeling of family. Everywhere you go someone will see your Clemson attire and you instantly have that connection. It's great for networking. Not to mention the incredible athletics and research opportunities.
Accommodation
I live in an apartment off campus and about a 5-minute drive. Some places off campus you can still walk to get to class but mine requires a car or taking the bus. Most of the campus sites have a bus stop for cat transit that will drop you off somewhere on campus. I enjoy having my own place away from RAs and what not.
The campus is really pretty with the pond in the center. The atmosphere is safer and more personal than Columbia. The football programs are great. Tough school so a diploma from there will definitely be a good one. And the lake is a minute away.
