University at Buffalo Language Programs

Students are invited to get trained with internationally-known faculty in a range of linguistics sub-disciplines, including syntactic theory, semantics, laboratory and field phonetics, field-based language documentation and description and psycholinguistics at the University at Buffalo’s Department of Linguistics. The department also offers comprehensive instruction in German, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean and supplemental instruction in several other languages. Students find employment in education, industry and research, publishing and translation, consultation or a host of other interesting career fields.
