  • Students are trained to conduct research that leads to publishable work, advancing knowledge in one of the following focus areas: Climate Systems Dynamics, Modern, and Ancient Life, Natural Resources, Geophysics, and Remote Sensing, Natural Hazards and Environmental Remediation.
  • As research activities are often diverse and interdisciplinary, students are encouraged to tailor their studies to their individual interests with the help of faculty members.
  • The curriculum is heavily research-based, reflecting current geologic knowledge and practices.
  • The MSc program consists of 30 credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, or engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
  • Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
