What Students Say
Dislikes
- People don't value this university degree. They just know that UGA is good for sports.
- I've always seen people make a joke of this university.
- And I don't really see any good placements for international students unless there's a strong referral.
Course Curriculum
- Research is an option for computer science, mandatory for AI students. 2-3lecture a day, depending on total credits. In my class, 5-20. In computer science, 30-70.
Admission Experience
- I accept the offer despite the coursework, which is the worst at this university, especially in the AI department. They try to cover all areas of AI in one course, but many of those areas are available only to bachelor's students or are listed on the website to show off. They design the entire coursework in a very poor way. I have completed my degree in a different area, including AI in robotics, law, machine learning, psychology, and philosophy. They don't connect, so during my interviews, I need to face multiple questions about what I learned from this degree. In reality, I just have basic knowledge of all areas—just basic knowledge in my master's degree.
- Don't remember EXACT RANGE. IELTS around 6.5. Depending on the total number of admissions, they give priority to the highest-scoring applicants.
Faculty
- My department has designed coursework in multiple areas like business, philosophy, robotics, and all kinds of department so I can't tell you fix no of faculty. But the department faculty is around 3-5 only.
Campus Life
- Everything is excellent instead coursework. Extracurricular is more than enough here.
Part Time Jobs
- Thesis student can get an assistantship only. AI students only get RA.
Placement
- I got a contract job with fewer hours or part-time. But right now, marketing is bad. 2years back, all my seniors got full-time jobs easily. But after that, many students moved back to India or doing 2-3months contract job.
Accommodation
- There is a group of all alumni and current students. They suggested the place where most indian lives in the city.
Exams
- GRE, IELTS, LOR, CV, SOP, 10-12marksheet. Certificates.
Fees
- Around 12000 avg per semester I guess.
