University of Washington Seattle - received a rejection University of Maryland Baltimore County - received an admit New Jersey Institute of Technology - received an admit Stevens institute of technology - received an admit along with 6000$ of scholarship. Northeastern University (Boston) - admit Illinois institute of Technology Chicago - received an admit I chose this university because it is a public university and has lot of research opportunities. Also this was the cheapest among all my admits Admission process was straight forward. Just an SOP and 2 LOR's were required along with basic documents like transcript etc. nothing major requirement, just the basic, no WES eval. There were no minimum score criteria, and my course did not require GRE, it was only based off of TOEFL and resume, sop, LOR Applied to the intake of Fall 2022 and that was because more scholarship opportunities would be available due to more number of intakes. Admission process for UMBC took about four months. I applied to UMBC in the first week of August and I got the admit in the first week of december. I was admitted to George Mason University, and SUNY Buffalo, University. Fortunately, I did not receive any rejections. However, I feel I missed out on applying to a few other colleges that I was interested in like (Indiana University, particularly for this program is very famous) because I was late in submitting my applications. This delay might have affected my chances of exploring more opportunities. I chose this college because of the tuition fees (more affordable comparatively to the other I got admitted to), Visa approval rates were very high. The first college from where I got my admit letter, and since I was already late I didn't want to delay the visa application process. I think the process is pretty simple, I applied by myself, but more than that the university admission office is very helpful at every step. They provide you with detailed guidance about visa interviews and traveling Immigration, online orientations, college tours, and resources. For my program, the only requirements are IELTS a band of around 7(6.5 minimum in each), and a GPA of more than 2.8. I applied for January 2023 for which I started my application at the beginning of August, The Cost of attendance, cost of living, Visa approval rate, and reputation of the university were the key deciding factors. I applied to 3 universities: DePaul University, University of New Haven, university of Baltimore county. - I got confirmed admission letter from all universities - No rejected universities - But I chose university of Baltimore county as it has perfect curriculum for my health information technology course offering a great mix of healthcare and technology, plus strong opportunities for internships and jobs in Maryland’s healthcare hubs. I chose UMBC because the Health IT program add the healthcare and technology both together. -Maryland's healthcare industry offered great opportunities for internships and jobs after graduation. The application process was transparent. I applied with my IELTS score and later had an interview with the Visa officer to discuss my background and interest in Health IT. -I also needed to prove my English proficiency through IELTS. I applied for Fall 2022 intake and factors like strong academic curriculum, diversity of culture, more career opportunities and east coast place influenced my decision - It took four months starting from the application to the program.
