Required Exams for Admission

TOEFL (100)
GRE (300)

Course Curriculum

2

  • Although mechanical engineering courses are not that updated, the courses offered by Paul G Allen are.
  • Yes I interned at 2 companies - GH Labs and Amazon. Usually 2 classes are scheduled a day, timings vary. Average number of students in my class is around 40

Admission Experience

  • It was cheaper compared to the other colleges that I received offers from. Admission process was very seamless.
  • The mechanical engineering course offers a myriad of opportunities - working in different labs, taking up courses from different departments. I liked the flexibility.
  • I scored 311. Currently GRE isn't taken that seriously, but above 300 is a good score.

Faculty

2

  • Professor Steven Brunton, Karen Leung, Byron Boots. They are great in terms of Knowledge.

Campus Life

2

  • We got th4e hiking club, TA, RA positions, and there is IMA gym for sports activities such as tennis, badmintion, football, gym, karate, cycling, etc.
  • In short there is no shortage of such activities, you can find new ones every day.

Part Time Jobs

  • One can work as a TA, RA or at the housing and food service (HFS)

Placement

6

  • I am currently applying. The job market is bad. its hard to say what the percentage is but I think the ball park figure is 75%.
  • Average salary should be around 90k annually. They find it through LinkeldIn, Handshake etc.

Off Campus
4

  • I pay 650$ per month. and aronud 50-100$ in utils, and garbage disposal.

Exams

  • A score of 100 and above in TOEFL is a must. SOP, LOR and CV are required.

Fees

  • I paid around 50K. If I am not wrong, this time is around 56K - 62K.
