Required Exams for Admission
Course Curriculum
- Although mechanical engineering courses are not that updated, the courses offered by Paul G Allen are.
- Yes I interned at 2 companies - GH Labs and Amazon. Usually 2 classes are scheduled a day, timings vary. Average number of students in my class is around 40
Admission Experience
- It was cheaper compared to the other colleges that I received offers from. Admission process was very seamless.
- The mechanical engineering course offers a myriad of opportunities - working in different labs, taking up courses from different departments. I liked the flexibility.
- I scored 311. Currently GRE isn't taken that seriously, but above 300 is a good score.
Faculty
- Professor Steven Brunton, Karen Leung, Byron Boots. They are great in terms of Knowledge.
Campus Life
- We got th4e hiking club, TA, RA positions, and there is IMA gym for sports activities such as tennis, badmintion, football, gym, karate, cycling, etc.
- In short there is no shortage of such activities, you can find new ones every day.
Part Time Jobs
- One can work as a TA, RA or at the housing and food service (HFS)
Placement
- I am currently applying. The job market is bad. its hard to say what the percentage is but I think the ball park figure is 75%.
- Average salary should be around 90k annually. They find it through LinkeldIn, Handshake etc.
Accommodation
- I pay 650$ per month. and aronud 50-100$ in utils, and garbage disposal.
Exams
- A score of 100 and above in TOEFL is a must. SOP, LOR and CV are required.
Fees
- I paid around 50K. If I am not wrong, this time is around 56K - 62K.
