Course Curriculum

10

  • The difficulty level is a bit medium but they teach you very well. If you listen to the class properly, ask doubts and clarify at that time. then there won't be any difficulty.
  • I didn't feel any negativity towards the course, and there are 1.2 classes a day and 6 classes a week and trying for assistantships is a bit difficult to get those positions. I personally admire Katarina Mam, as her teaching is very efficient and helpful to understand.

Admission Experience

  • I have applied to 7 colleges. They are UMBC, UNT, Arizona, UH, UT Arlington, Kent State University, University of Cincinnati, NJIT, and SUNY Albany.
  • I got a rejection from UMBC. Remaining all I got confirmed admits.
  • I have to ECE Background and I applied for Computer Science at UMBC, so I think its criteria didn't match my profile. UNT, Arizona, has not rejected me but they have offered other courses for me as I applied a bit late for them.
  • I applied to only public universities. So, it's one of the reasons. It has a good rating. I inquired with alumni on LinkedIn, and they told me that it is a very worthy college for the fee we can afford. Affordable college with a great educational background and efficient faculty. These many factors made me choose this university. We need to apply to this college using the applyweb portal. I submitted my IELTS 6.5 and GRE 319 scores for my application process and a good SOP. I'm not sure about the eligibility criteria, but the minimum IELTS is 6.5 and if you have a GPA of above 9, you can expect an instate fee waiver scholarship. The only thing I felt a bit frustrated about was that the response was very slow. I got my admit response after 2.5 months of applying.
  • In the fall of 2024, I got into that intake only; it took me 2.5 months to respond after applying. I applied to every college and waited for all those responses, but at last, this gave me an option in the end to choose over all others because of its worthfulness towards many aspects, which I mentioned earlier; my other process, like packing a visa, took very little time.

Faculty

10

  • There are 2 sections for each subject and each class consists of an average of 50 students in the classroom.
  • There are a lot of Indian students enrolled in the class and 90% of the students in the Data Science class are Indians and mostly Telugu.
  • 1:50, 21 faculty for 50 students are there; the teaching methodology differs for every faculty; it's their style of teaching; all are good.

Campus Life

10

  • The campus is very good and it has many events, first clubs, and very extracurricular activities.
  • It hosts many events daily and uses many giveaways, and it attracts many people across the campus and many people from many streams and many departments, like undergraduate and graduate students, attend every first and participate and show their participation in their activities.
  • There are many giveaways at every event, which is the most important thing for many students.

Part Time Jobs

  • There are very difficult opportunities for obtaining opportunities like teaching assistant, research assistant, department assistant, and many kinds of positions. Most of the people get by luck and teacher recommendations and the parent would be around $1000 per month.
  • Dislike, on on-campus jobs like working in food, shops and hostels, the maximum or solid per week is 19 hours. It is very difficult to secure campus part-time, which is basically luck and recommendation.
  • Indian students prefer part-time jobs very much under approximately $10-$12 per hour and it is very difficult to secure part-time employment while studying to apply for part-time jobs. We need to apply in the college portal and also should consult the managers in phase and submit reasons if we are sharpened, then we can get the opportunity to attend interviews and there are further procedures that should be followed.

Placement

10

  • Most people try to graduate in two years, and education is done mostly in the university range, ranging between $1,000 and $2000 per month depending on the person and their skills. Finding jobs after graduation is a very difficult task.
  • It takes more skills and time. There are many companies that come to the university to hire graduates, like HP Google Dell halburton and many more companies through career fairs, etc.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • I opted for off-campus accommodation in a community. I got the through alumni from LinkedIn and the monthly rent is is 340$ and some other bills like water, electricity, and wifi are also there. By God's grace, I got my accommodation. a bit easier because of alumni. Would recommend using LinkedIn and groups for accommodation; mine is approximately 5 miles from the college.

Exams

  • IELTS, passport, LORS-3, and SOP are required. It's not an interview. They just monitor the information that we submit in their portal clearly and let us know the response used but it takes a lot of time.
  • A good SOP, i.e., a Statement of Purpose, and a minimum of 3 letters of recommendation are required as some of the main documents.
  • Passport and other documents are required.

Events

Fees

  • Their fee is around $40k for the complete course (estimated average).
  • COSTS FOR: 9 MONTHS: Tuition and Fees $ 24,069, and there is some insurance fee too and for books and other stuff it is charged semester-wise and credit-based.
  • For me, the monthly expenses are around $1k. If we restrict in some aspects in the expenditure of money, then only 700 to 800$ is enough for one month.

Scholarship

  • I didn't receive any scholarships.
  • If I get a GPA above 3.75 in the following semesters, then I will receive an instate tuition fee waiver scholarship that is half fee waived; some of the people who got above 9 GPA in their bachelor's received an instant tuition fee waiver.
  • I heard that only a few students above 9 GPAs received scholarships but some students above didn't get that scholarship. So many other factors are not revealed. There is a scholarship website for students to apply for external scholarships too in the student portal.
