I chose the United States because it was always my dream to study and work there. I believe I had the best career opportunities for myself there, a cross between sports and analytics. I went to Stevens due to the program they had (MS in Business Intelligence & Analytics + Masters in Sports Technologies), which allowed me to explore and learn both sports and analytics. I thought it was extremely interesting and something I would enjoy learning. The fact that my close friend was already studying there and that the college was 20 minutes away from New York City were also big reasons why I went ahead with the course. My overall experience was a bit disappointing due to a number of reasons. Firstly (and this is more to do with me), I felt that the coursework I had was not challenging enough for me, as I came from a technical background but the coursework I had was mostly fundamental/foundational-level stuff that I had already studied or knew about. I feel that doing a Master's degree should push you and make you learn your chosen course in depth, which I did not get. Next, I feel that the college had admitted too many Indians and due to that, the "authentic American college experience," which I had hoped to get, was severely diluted. I also felt the cost of living in that area and the tuition were on the higher side. I did have a good time on many occasions though and I learned a few things as well. I feel there were a lot more opportunities for personal growth that I missed out on because I did not take enough initiative or due to lack of general awareness....Read More

Geography, Ranking, Course Specialization The course had the opportunity to pick electives from any fields. My classes are really only 1 day in a week as have chosen 2 subjects of London 2 subjects online we were given the opportunity to choose between the offline of online studies But I do visit my college if there are any extra regular activities or club participation required. I submitted SOP and LOR . Mentioned about my passion towards computer science and my overall goal to accomplish my future targets. I did not have any rounds and was directly selected for a dean's excellence scholarship for my profile. The main reason to choose this university is for its easily customizable courses. I applied to 6 colleges:  Stevens (Accepted, Attending)  Rutgers—I got admitted but I got a better scholarship from Stevens, hence I decided to go with Stevens. University of Dallas at Texas (Admitted, the best-ranked program from all my admits. I decided not to go as I found it too expensive) University of Maryland College Park (Rejected , probably because of low CGPA) University Maryland , Baltimore (Rejected) I choose Stevens because of 3 reasons. 1. I received a good scholarship 2. It was very close to New York City, hence, there is a good chance for networking. 3. I really like the curriculum of the MS IS program. It had a good mix of technology and business. Although officially they don't ask for the GRE. I had a GRE score of 311. It enhances your application, especially if you have a lower GPA. Steven's considers your application holistically. Work experience, CGPA, and scores all come into play. You can highlight in in your SOP. I had 3 years of relevant work experience, plus the GRE got me the admission. I also had an IELTS score of 8. Steven's accepted IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo. If you have a low English language score in your first semester, you will be required to take a 2-credit English course. This will be an additional 2 credits on top of your existing subjects. I applied for Fall intake. I had my application ready by January end. By March I recieved a decision by March. If you apply early they do get back to you early. They have rolling application review process. I choose fall as it was the biggest intake and the visa dates were better. It took around 2 months. Steven's has a streamlined admission process. Requires 2 LOR, SOP and Transcipts. Once all documents are submitted which I did around July, I recieved a decision by August. Then I had enough time to schedule my Visa interview....Read More

I applied to the following universities:  Stevens institute of technology - accepted Suffolk university - accepted Northeastern university - waitlisted Baruch college - rejected Rochester institute of technology - waitlisted Boston university - rejected Pace University—accepted I confirmed my admission in Stevens institute of technology I faced rejections from Boston university and Baruch college For Boston University I didn’t spend a lot of time writing a good SOP, and for Baruch I didn’t have the GRE score required. The only reason I decided to go for Stevens Institute was because of the location being so perfect and close to NYC; nothing could be better than that for a finance student. The steps were fairly simple: you put in an application with your IELTS, GRE scores, SOP, college transcript, and recommendation letters, and based on this information, you’d find out your decision. My university accepts GRE, GMAT, IELTS, & TOEFL scores. I don’t think there is a minimum score in this university for anything as far as your profile is good, and if you’re below the average then there can be an expection I applied for the Fall 2023 intake, influenced by program availability, career goals, and ample preparation time.its best to take advantage of early application for a good chance at acceptance. Universities Applied to: University of California (waitlisted) University of Arizona (accepted) University of Georgia (accepted) Stevens institute of technology ( accepted) University of Illinois ( rejected) Pace university (rejected) Drexel University (rejected) In my opinion I think I got rejection either due to my low GRE score or else because I submitted my application late so the seats might be already full. I chose Stevens over other universities because they provide the course of information systems which is combination of business analytics and data analytics without any coding which was like the top thing I was looking while choosing the course and university. So it was apt to choose Stevens over other universities. For Stevens they have a referral code so you don’t need to pay any fees for applying to Stevens. You need to fill all your information in application and with that you require a good SOP and IELTS or any other English language proficiency certificate if you have given GRE exam it is also an additional requirement you can get a scholarship based on a good score. Overall, my application process was easy and smooth experience but if you get stuck somewhere you can reach out admission office through email and they reply as soon as they can to help you. I applied for Fall intake because the most amount of courses are available during fall intake. It took almost 60 to 75 days with admissions process I applied in mid of February month then I got acceptance letter by start of march, then by start of April I accepted the university and paid 500$ for confirmation purpose then after submitting bank statement and other required documents then after financial verification I got my i-20 letter by mid May.  ...Read More
