My experience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has been truly remarkable. Academically, I have been exposed to a wealth of knowledge and have had the opportunity to learn from esteemed professors who are experts in their fields. The university's rigorous academic programs have challenged me to think critically, expand my intellectual horizons, and develop valuable problem-solving skills. Beyond the classroom, I have grown tremendously as an individual. Moving to a new country and navigating the challenges of living independently has allowed me to develop resilience, adaptability, and self-reliance. The university's diverse community has provided a supportive and inclusive environment that has made the transition smoother, and I have formed meaningful connections with fellow students from all walks of life. One aspect I particularly treasure is the friendships I have forged. The university fosters a sense of camaraderie, and I have met incredible individuals who share my interests and passions. Collaborating on projects, engaging in stimulating discussions, and simply enjoying each other's company has enriched my experience and made my time at the university truly memorable. Moreover, I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in my passions. Whether it's participating in student organizations, joining clubs, or attending cultural events, the university offers a myriad of opportunities to pursue my interests. This has not only allowed me to engage in activities I am passionate about but has also broadened my perspective by exposing me to different cultures, traditions, and viewpoints. Reflecting on the past year, I can genuinely say that my experience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has been transformative. It has provided me with an excellent education, expanded my global outlook, and equipped me with the skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. I am grateful for the invaluable lessons learned, the friendships made, and the personal growth achieved during my time at this esteemed institution.

Course Curriculum

10

The syllabus is good and well researched and the classes are made in such a way that one class compliments the other class and I say this because any class you take will have some knowledge from the previous class you took which will surely help you build up your base , for CS they have good structured classes with CS 200 that teaches you the basics of java then CS 300 that uses the basics to build on object oriented programming then CS 400 where real world scenarios are tested and then the specialization classes after you have a basic idea of the classes you have already taken , they also give research opportunities that helps a lot in learning and understanding stuff under the CS department which is generally paid and also get credit for the same.

Exams

My SAT scores were 1440/1600 , IELTS was 8.5 band , IBDP score was 40 don't remember the exact specific scores at the moment. During my application process to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I found that they required a few essential documents and materials. These included submitting Letters of Recommendation (LOR) through the Common Application, as well as writing essays specific to the university. In terms of academic records, they requested my grade 10 and 12 transcripts, including both predicted and final grades. While the final grades were not available at the time of application, it was important to provide the predicted grades and update them later with the official final grades when they became available. Additionally, the university encouraged applicants to include any reports or documentation related to extracurricular activities. This allowed me to showcase my involvement in various activities beyond academics, such as clubs, sports, community service, or leadership roles. Sharing these experiences highlighted my diverse interests and demonstrated my ability to balance academics with personal growth and community engagement. To ensure proper identification and verification, the university required the submission of official government IDs. These documents served as an important means to authenticate the applicant's identity and ensure the accuracy of the information provided. Also Unlike some universities that conduct interviews as part of the application process, the University of Wisconsin-Madison did not require an interview from me. Researching and familiarizing yourself with the culture and environment of the university you're applying to, including details like the mascot and its symbolism, is crucial for a successful interview. Knowing these aspects demonstrates your genuine interest in the institution and helps you engage in meaningful conversations during the interview. Being prepared with such information can leave a positive impression on the interviewer and show your commitment to understanding the university's values and traditions. So, take the time to learn about the university's culture and be ready to discuss these aspects if they come up during the interview.

The classes are generally huge for the introduction classes (CS 200,300) with more than 200/250 students but as you progress the class sizes decreases and the faculty are also well experienced professors with great experience in there respective fields.

I live in college dorms they are very good and have good amenities but you need to take a food plan with the dorms which is a down side for people who are vegetarian like me and have no use of the food plan , the dorms have study rooms , lounges and huge rooms shared by 2 or 3 people and shared toilets which is well maintained. I pay 770$ a month for this.
