Required Exams for Admission
I chose this university because of following factors: • Courses - flexibility in selection & wide range of courses • Affordable tuition fees • Good ranking for Industrial Engineering Overall, it was a new and unique experience, could explore diversity in terms of people, infrastructure, events, food. Had to take academics seriously. Good faculty support. Different approaches by different professors for teaching.
Course Curriculum
Very recent & up to the industry level, the curriculum keeps on revising once every 3 years.
Faculty
20 students for 1 professor, the faculty and staff is very friendly and supportive, majority of them are very approachable like Professor James Swanson, Professor Tim Buhl, Professor Sinan Tas.
Campus Life
There are indeed a lot of clubs, unlimited fast WiFi, two great gyms, modified lab for research, updated computer systems.
Placement
A lot of companies do visit during the career fair, majority of them are placed locally or in mid-west areas. A few of them did call back and gave 40-50$ per hour.
Accommodation
Private room, 10 mins walk from college building, 650$ per month, around 50$ for utilities and 100-200$ for groceries.
Exams
- My TOEFL score was 109/120; 24- reading, 25- writing, 30- speaking, 30- listening - Mumbai University, overall CGPA was 8.23/10 - Grade 10 - 87%, Grade 12 - 85.23% - Requirements: Write about how your experiences & interests inclined you to choose the field, and how a particular professor’s research in your field of interest made you choose the college.
