ABVMU M.Optom : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. M.Optom (Master of Optometry) at ABVMU-affiliated colleges is a two-year postgraduate programme that trains graduates in advanced clinical optometry, binocular vision, ocular disease management, contact lens specialisation, low vision rehabilitation, and paediatric optometry. The curriculum also includes ocular pharmacology, refractive surgery co-management, and research methodology. Graduates gain the expertise to manage independent optometry practices, supervise optometry departments, and conduct clinical research in visual sciences. Admission is through CAHET Masters 2026, with the exam held on 21 June 2026.

Ans. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Optometry from a recognised institution with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. The minimum age is 17 years as of 31 December 2026 with no upper age limit. A seat confirmation fee of INR 40,000 is deposited online during counselling and adjusted against tuition at the allotted college after all rounds are complete.
