ABVMU Faculty

The faculty at the college comprises highly qualified members, including 20 teachers in the Optometry faculty, all with master's degrees, and some holding PhDs. There is a strong emphasis on mentorship, with a faculty-to-student ratio reported as low as 1:2 in some departments, ensuring personalized attention. Various departments maintain a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:10 to 1:100, with an overall college ratio of 1:5. Faculty members are experienced and many come from prestigious institutions, contributing significantly to the quality of education.

The MBBS course spans 5.5 years, including a year-long internship, with a challenging exam structure of two terminal exams, a pre-university exam, and a final professional exam each year. Despite the exams' difficulty, the faculty support students with personalized guidance and additional teaching sessions, aiding in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills development. Faculty-student interactions are encouraged, with programs like mentor-mentee initiatives facilitating open communication and support.
