Maya Devi University Dehradun Ph.D Legal Studies: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. Total fees for the minimum three-year Ph.D. (Legal Studies) programme at Maya Devi University are INR 4,05,000 at INR 1,35,000 per year. Candidates extending beyond three years pay the annual fee for each additional year. Hostel charges are payable separately.

Ans. Candidates must hold an LLM or equivalent postgraduate degree in Law or Legal Studies from a recognised university with a minimum of 55 percent marks. SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates require 50 percent as per UGC norms. UGC-NET/JRF in Law exempts candidates from the university NRET.

Ans. Research areas include constitutional and administrative law, criminal law and criminology, international law and human rights, intellectual property rights, corporate and commercial law, family law, environmental law, and legal reforms in Indian governance.
