The minimum age to join this course is above 17 years. A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by the University and In order to be complete the eligibility for admission to any of the undergraduate programmes of three years or four years duration. The candidate has to pass the qualifying entrance and his name should be in the merit list.

Positive remark is that it now changes a lot in the way of education. The college is among the rare sports colleges in India. The university is although lacking in the administrative development as the staffs need to be more polite and helpful.

The admission process required students to have a bachelor's degree in BP.Ed or B.A in Psychology with minimum 50% marks or having Psychology or Sports as one of the subjects. Admission was based on merit, on the basis of marks obtained at the Entrance Test. The test involved a written exam followed by an interview.
Getting admission at the National Sports University was a strict and competitive process. After filling out the online application form, we were given the dates for our Admission Test. The Admission Test includes a written test, a sports proficiency test and a physics fitness test comprising of 100 marks. After getting a good score, I was selected for the final Medical Fitness test and councelling at the NSU.
