CSMU BBA FAQs
Ques. Is BBA (HR) at CSMU different from the general BBA program, and what additional subjects does it cover?
Ans. Yes, BBA with Specialization in Human Resource Management is a distinct program from the general BBA at CSMU. While both share core business subjects like financial accounting, marketing, and business law, the HR specialization adds subjects such as organizational behavior, talent acquisition and management, labor laws, performance appraisal systems, training and development, and industrial relations. This makes the program more focused for students who want to build a career specifically in HR roles rather than general management. The fee for the specialized BBA (HR) is Rs. 1,50,000 per year compared to Rs. 1,10,000 per year for the general BBA.
Ques. Can I get admission to BBA (HR) at CSMU without appearing in CUET UG?
Ans. Yes, CSMU also conducts its own entrance test called CSMUCET for admission to professional programs including BBA. Students who have scored 80% or above in their 10+2 examination may be eligible for direct merit-based admission without appearing in CSMUCET. Additionally, students who have cleared state or central government competitive exams are exempted from CSMUCET. However, appearing in CUET UG is recommended as it is accepted by CSMU and gives you a nationally recognized score that can be used for multiple university applications.
Ques. What is the fee payment schedule at CSMU for BBA (HR), and are installments available?
Ans. The total fee for BBA (HR) at CSMU is Rs. 4,65,000 over 3 years (including the one-time non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 15,000). At the time of admission confirmation, a minimum of 50% of the annual fee must be paid. CSMU allows fee payment in up to 4 installments per year, making it manageable for students. The annual fee is Rs. 1,50,000 per year for all three years of the BBA (HR) program. Note that the registration fee and application fee are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Ques. What kind of placements can BBA (HR) students expect from CSMU?
Ans. CSMU has a Training and Placement Cell that connects students with 250+ companies including TCS, Amazon, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, SBI, and Axis Bank. The overall university placement rate is approximately 73%, with an average salary package of 4-6 LPA and a highest reported package of up to 18 LPA across BBA programs. BBA students have been placed in roles such as assistant manager, HR trainee, and sales executive. Since CSMU is a relatively young university (established 2018), course-specific placement data for BBA (HR) is not separately published; students are advised to check with the placement cell directly for the most current statistics.
Ques. Are scholarships available for general category students in BBA (HR) at CSMU?
Ans. Yes, CSMU offers merit-based scholarships that are open to all categories including general category students. If you score 85% or above in your 10+2 examination, you are eligible for a merit scholarship of 10% to 50% of the programme fee. In subsequent years, maintaining a CGPA of 9.00 or above at CSMU also qualifies you for merit scholarships. Additionally, the Government of Maharashtra mandates a 50% tuition fee waiver for 10% of economically weak students in each batch, which is also available to general category students who qualify under EWS criteria. Note that only one scholarship can be availed at a time.
Ques. What is the difference between BBA (HR), BBA (Finance), and BBA (Marketing) at CSMU, and which one should I choose?
Ans. CSMU offers BBA with three specializations: HR, Finance, and Marketing, all at the same fee of Rs. 1,50,000 per year. The HR specialization is best suited for students interested in people management, organizational development, and corporate HR functions. Finance is ideal for those inclined towards accounting, investment, and financial analysis, while Marketing suits students interested in brand management, sales, and digital marketing. The core business curriculum is common across all three specializations for the first year, with specialization subjects introduced from the second year onwards. Your choice should align with your long-term career goals and the industry sector you wish to work in.
