For a career specifically in 3D animation and VFX, B.Sc (Multimedia) provides a good technical base, while B.Des may be better for those focused on visual design and branding. Both programmes include mandatory internships.
Ques. Does B.Sc (Multimedia) at CSMU require a laptop, and what are the specifications?
Ans. Yes, students in the Graphics/Design stream at CSMU, which includes B.Sc (Multimedia), are required to have their own laptops with prescribed specifications. The university provides a list of recommended specifications, and laptops can be purchased from the university's authorised vendor or from any other source. This is an additional cost over and above the programme fees and should be factored into your budget planning.
Ques. What is the total cost of the B.Sc (Multimedia) programme at CSMU including all fees?
Ans. The total tuition and other fees for the 3-year programme are Rs. 3,45,000 (Rs. 1,20,000/year).
