SDSUV Admissions

Students are admitted into this institution based on their score in the qualifying exam, UKSEE Entrance Exam and the other entrance exams conducted by the University depending on the course that they are applying for. Candidates can apply both in online as well as in offline modes. Accordingly, admit cards will be released for appearing in the various entrance exams conducted by the University.

If the aspirants prefer online mode, they need to register at the official college under https://www.sdsuv.ac.in/
Fill in the required details.
The merit list of the selected students will be released.
The selected students need to submit the required documents and have them verified.
The admission process is completed after the payment of fees.

The campus area is pretty big, which gives you a benefit of a huge ground. You can play game like cricket volleyball badminton and many more, and also suitable for other sports.
There is no ragging in the campus. The students are supportive and helpful. You will find different types of students in the campus
There are soo many plants and a botanical garden too. There is a lot of greenery.

Dislikes

These days we have shortage of teachers. We have few guest teachers as well.
The campus is huge but the infrastructure isn't that good. Although the renovation work is going on so hope it will get better soon.
We don't have any perticular library for different course. We have a common library.

Student view on course curriculum

The curriculum is based on NEP 2020 so we can't change it as we want. I choose B.Sc mathematics because I have interest in it. And the things are going pretty well. I would say we should work on the real world applications. We have mis terms after w months the semester starts and semester exam after 4 months of the semester starts.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

I'm a student of sri dev suman university of rishikesh campus pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma pg college Rishikesh. I'm a third year student of bachelor's in mathematics. Yearly I have to pay net of around 4000 rupees in my college. In which 50 rupees is the registration fee when we enter and around 1800 rupees is admission fees. I have paid the same fees for my 1st 2nd and 3rd year. Since it is a state government college so we don't have to pay any tuition fees, it's free. We only have to pay registration fees, admission fees and exams fees. The exam fee per semester is around 900- 950 rupees(which I have paid every semester). And that's it. There is no other fees other than that. The government/college also provide scholarship for SC/ST students. Also you can opt a sharing hostel room just for 1000 rupees per year.

College fest and various activities

There are no such festival organised by college, we just celebrate some national days. We do have some seminar and webinar. We have only one library which is only accessible for a day in a week and don't have new syllabus books. Few classes have smart boards and projector in it but some of them don't work.

Student views on the faculty and exams

The faculty to students ratio isn't very good. But on the other hand all the facilities are well experienced and supportive. In science faculty you can always reach to the professor and ask for any help. Sometimes they give you guidence too. And if we talk about my favourite faculty I can't choose one. The facilities I have faced all of them were very supportive. And if we talk about the exam, we have mid terms and semester exam in a semester. The exams are not that difficult, they are moderate but still few students can't pass it.

Admission

I was preparing for IIT JEE but couldn't get into it. So I decided to do Bsc from a decent college. There were other private colleges in my locality but the fees was little higher than my college. So I decided to Bsc from Sri dev suman university. There are many other students who came from different cities to take admission in the college. Also the we can get admission on 12th class marks(merit based) the admission procedure is easy only few formalities you have to do.

A minimum of 50% - 60% marks in 12 grade was required and also math subject was compalsery in 12 grade. Its new campus so no exam was requried that time only marks was requried now exam is requried with 50% of minimum marks.

Admission:

First of all the fee structure of college is much much cheaper than other private colleges & you can pay your fee in installments which is a huge positive impact to all students who are not able to pay complete fee in one go. 2nd is this college accepts all students as long their documents are correct no need for merit while the government colleges fee are cheap around 1200/- Semester but they work on merit system.

I found it right that nobody indulges in ragging here but in other colleges there is a lot of ragging due to which students are scared of going to college.

Dislikes

I did not like the facilities here it is such a small college not good.

When I passed out of 12th class, I applied to some colleges and I also gave the entrance exams but could not clear them, sp I was scared as to what would happen next, at that time I did not know much about College.

The college library is good and well setuped

There is a small sport ground which is not good because the ground us necessary
Some students bully each other and not have a proper aticates and manner
The female washroom is too unhygienic and the odours are every where in the college

Admissions are based on merit and are offered in different specializations of B.Com, BBA, etc. Whereas, admissions to BA, B.Sc and B.Ed programs are based on Entrance conducted by the University. Admissions to the postgraduate courses are based on merit for MA, M.Sc., M.Com, etc. and on the basis of entrance for MBA and MCA.

Unfortunately, SDSUU Tehri doesn’t offer programs like Hindi and Political Science under MA, however it offers MA in Buddhist Studies.

Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University does not offer B.Com + LLB Dual degree but you can apply to other colleges such as O.P Jindal Global University, The West Bengal National University Of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) Kolkata, National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, etc.
