Life in VIT Bhopal

Likes

The faculty members are really well read.They have their degree top institutes and majority of them will help you if you have a goof behaviour with them
There are n numbers of events happening in tech and non tech department .There are numerous number of clubs that you can join.
The university has links with foreign university . Multiple hackthons take place which can further lead to internship opportunities.

Dislikes

If you are expecting college fun life then don't come here ,there is nothing out of college campus you have to travel 60 km to get to a city and won't much chance to go out.
Too many restriction like you can't roam around in after 6 pm if you dont have classes even during events the max time to be out is 8pm
mess food can be terrible sometimes, and the canteen food are really expensive.

Internships Opportunities:

Summer internship and full semester internship programs are available. Internship at microsoft ,aws,adobe on role like SDE intern, applied science intern and in qualcomm,intel,amd offer roles like hardware design interns,vlsi intern. Mass recruiters like TCS and wipro offer software interns. Internship usually starts in 3 year starting.

Likes

First thing that I like about my university is that they have updated curriculum . They regularly update the curriculum according to the updates in the market / industry . And the curriculum includes all the things / topic which are needed .
Secondly , I would like to say that they provide good labs . In the university they provide labs for different branches like cyber lab , gaming lab , and digital forensics lab etc.
Lastly , I would like to say that they have a very good 3 days cultural fest known as AdVitya

Dislikes

The thing which most of the students hate is the time restrictions ,they don't allow girls to move out of their hostel after 6:30p.m. and boys after 9:00p.m.
The university is located in the remote area known as Kothri Kalan , rayher than the name suggesting Bhopal.
Lack of basic amenity like no snacks are available less than 50Rs. , which can be kind of high pocket of students .

Internships Opportunities:

Talking about the internship opprtunities , they vary on the CGPA criteria they set a criteria like we say it should be miinimum of 8 CGPA and they also provide Experential learnings opprtunities in which industrial visits are provided

Strange things about VIT Bhopal

Likes

College campus is very huge and many other facilities
The fully flexible credit system is good
The ability to morph my timetable according to my needs

Dislikes

The hostel management is very hella pain to deal with
The variety of faculties spark a matter of doubt on our choice of faculty

Internships Opportunities:

I do not know much about internship programs. But the projects that are required are something that is assigned to every student. The project is a website about themselves that contains atleast 5-6 big projects linked to it.

All about VIT BHOPAL

Likes

Some faculties were way too good back then.
They served decent variety of food in the mess.
College had people from everywhere in India.

Dislikes

College provided no transportation facility.
Students had only one outing every month.
Water shortages were quite regularly in the hostel.

Internships Opportunities:

The placements in the other vit's was good but in VIT Bhopal it was not that good. Most of the good companies visited the College but the number of students they took from here was very less. Companies like tcs, cognizant, Mindtree, infosys, etc visited here.

the academics are good , the focus on studies is also great
i like the people here, people of MP are also very nice
the lush green campus wiht gardens and flowers

I cannot list the companies that come to Vit Bhopal because that will be too much, and I don't remember, but I can name many - Microsoft SDE intern Amazon JP morgan DE SHAW PAYPAL INTEL CISCO INTEL VISA MOTORQ All for SDE intern, Data scientist, and Cyber Security professional all of the stipend ranging from 40k to 1lakh per month

Overall Review Of VIT BHOPAL

Likes

I liked the academic curriculum and the faculty also
The Infrastructure of the college and also the mess food
The campus is lush green and less polluted area which is good

Dislikes

The Rules of the college that no outing for freshers till 2 month
The hostel gate closing Timing for boys is 9pm which is too early
And also the academic block1 is 1.5 km from hostel which is little bit concern

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies offering internship to the students such as zomato flipkart amazon dell etc The students get much well stipend in the intership process which give the idea for real world experience to the students

Likes

Teaching staff or faculty is supportive.

Dislikes

Distance between hostel and academic block is little far approx 2km.
After first year they have 3 semester per yaer which is hectic

Internships Opportunities:

Internships opportunities starts from 6th semester where you can apply to various companies according to eligibility in various companies like Microsoft, Visa, Paypal, American Express etc, and stipend depend on companies. Our college provides a total of 5 projects in curriculum in between 4 years.

Overall it's good

Likes

I like my campus like it's green and it keeps growing(it's always under construction). Also the skies are really pretty here.
I like that some of the teachers are good and actually wants to support you in your path.
Curriculum is good but could be better than this.

Dislikes

Some teachers do partially and give marks to people who don't even deserve it and for the sake of average they cut marks for no reason because even they don't know what is even wrong with the answer.
There is a lot of social interactions here, i mean there will be no time when u don't see people on campus.
Teachers don't know the subjects so they sometimes just teach rubbish

Internships Opportunities:

I have not been in placements so I'm not the one to answer this but this year many Japanese companies came to pick students. U just need to learn fluent Japanese. Internships also provide various stipends, it various according to the companies.

Academics of the college is top notch and they are very punctual with the academic calender they decide before the year.
Faculties are very professional and they are very supportive with the students.
FFCS is the cherry on the top you can choose your own time slot along with faculty.

Dislikes

Schedule is very hectic and acdemics is very tight.
Campus is good but infrastructure is still not full devoloped.
Exams are conducted very frequently and you will have to study all time.

Internships Opportunities:

From 3rd years onwards internship opportunities are provided to the students and then you can avail them companies like cisco and microsoft offer internships opportunities . Dummy spotify and college website dummies are created for projects and private projects.
