Companies including Accenture, TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Bandhan Bank, and Reliance Industries have participated in campus drives. Placement eligibility for students begins from the fifth semester, and internship opportunities are available from the third semester onwards with durations ranging from three to six months.
Program-wise Placements at AISECT University
AISECT University offers UG programs including BTech, BCA, BBA, BCom, and BSc, and PG programs including MBA, MCA, and MSc. The placement programme is active across both UG and PG levels, with the NIRF 2024 disclosure specifically recording 450 PG student placements for the most recent cycle.
Technology, sales, marketing, management, and core engineering are the five key sectors driving campus placements. IT services companies have formed the largest recruiter cohort, hiring from both BTech and MCA cohorts. Banking and financial services companies have been active recruiters for MBA and BBA graduates, with IDFC First Bank, Bandhan Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharat Financial Inclusion, HDFC Life, and Kotak Bank among regular campus participants.
The PG median salary at INR 2.4 to 2.5 LPA reflects the entry-level market for PG graduates from Tier 3 university locations in Jharkhand. Students who secure placements at the higher-value IT and financial services firms have pushed the average above the median, with the best offers substantially exceeding the batch centre. Placement eligibility requires students to meet a minimum academic performance threshold, with board-level cutoffs of 60% applying to the initial screening.
BTech Placements
Engineering graduates from AISECT have been placed into IT services and core engineering roles. Companies including TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, IBM, L&T Infotech, Hexaware Technologies, Oracle, and Accenture have recruited from the engineering cohort. Reliance Industries has also participated in drives for electrical and mechanical engineering graduates.
MBA and MCA Placements
MBA graduates have placed primarily into banking, financial services, and FMCG sectors. IDFC First Bank, Bandhan Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharat Financial Inclusion, HDFC Life, Kotak Bank, and Airtel are among the firms that have recruited from the MBA cohort. The MCA program feeds primarily into IT services roles, with the same IT company roster as the BTech cohort participating in MCA drives as well.
