MUIT Ph.D. (Science) Admission 2026
MUIT Lucknow conducts Ph.D. admissions typically once a year. The admission process involves submission of an online application, a written entrance test conducted offline at the university campus, and a personal interview/research proposal presentation. Note: CSIR-NET is the primary qualifying exam for Ph.D. (Science) in disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, and Mathematics. UGC-NET is also accepted. Candidates with valid CSIR-NET/UGC-NET scores may be exempted from the university's written entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold an M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in the relevant science discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Candidates who have cleared M.Phil. coursework with at least 55% marks and have submitted their M.Phil. dissertation may also be eligible.
- Candidates with a valid CSIR-NET or UGC-NET score are preferred and may be exempted from the university entrance test.
Admission Process
- Step 1: Fill out the online application form at crm.muituniversity.in and pay the application fee.
- Step 2: Appear for the university-level written entrance test (offline, held at MUIT Lucknow campus). Candidates with valid CSIR-NET/UGC-NET scores may be exempted.
- Step 3: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview and research proposal presentation before the Research Advisory Committee.
- Step 4: Final merit list is prepared based on entrance test score (or qualifying exam score) and interview performance.
- Step 5: Selected candidates complete document verification and fee payment to confirm admission.
- Step 6: Mandatory coursework (as per UGC regulations) begins after enrollment.
