MUIT Ph.D. (Pharmacy) Admission 2026

MUIT Lucknow conducts Ph.D. admissions typically once a year. The admission process involves submission of an online application, a written entrance test conducted offline at the university campus, and a personal interview/research proposal presentation. Candidates with valid UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or GPAT scores may be considered for direct interview without the written test. Note: GPAT score is accepted by MUIT for Ph.D. (Pharmacy) admissions. UGC-NET (Phase 2, June 2026) is also accepted. Candidates with valid GPAT/UGC-NET scores may be exempted from the university's written entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold an M.Pharm degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
• Candidates who have cleared M.Phil. coursework with at least 55% marks and have submitted their M.Phil. dissertation may also be eligible.
• Candidates with a valid GPAT, UGC-NET, or CSIR-NET score are preferred and may be exempted from the university entrance test.

Admission Process

• Step 1: Fill out the online application form at crm.muituniversity.in and pay the application fee.
• Step 2: Appear for the university-level written entrance test (offline, held at MUIT Lucknow campus). Candidates with valid GPAT/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET scores may be exempted.
• Step 3: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview and research proposal presentation before the Research Advisory Committee.
• Step 4: Final merit list is prepared based on entrance test score (or qualifying exam score) and interview performance.
• Step 5: Selected candidates complete document verification and fee payment to confirm admission.
• Step 6: Coursework (mandatory for all PhD scholars as per UGC regulations) begins after enrollment.

MUIT Ph.D. (Pharmacy) Scholarships 2026

MUIT Lucknow offers merit-based scholarships to deserving students across programs, including doctoral programs. The university provides fee concessions of up to 100% for highly meritorious candidates based on their academic performance in qualifying examinations and entrance test scores. Additionally, PhD scholars who have qualified national-level fellowships such as UGC-JRF or CSIR-JRF are eligible for monthly stipends from the respective funding agencies, independent of the university's scholarship scheme.
