Ques. What is the difference between MA Education and M.Ed. at MUIT Lucknow?
Ans. MA Education and M.Ed. are two distinct postgraduate programmes. MA Education is a 2-year academic degree focusing on the theory, philosophy, and research aspects of education, and is offered under the Maharishi School of Humanities at MUIT. M.Ed. (Master of Education) is a professional degree regulated by NCTE, primarily designed for practising teachers seeking to advance their teaching qualifications. MA Education is suitable for those interested in research, educational administration, and UGC NET, while M.Ed. is for those seeking school-level teaching career advancement.
Ques. Is CUET PG mandatory for admission to MA Education at MUIT Lucknow?
Ans. No, CUET PG is not mandatory. MUIT accepts both CUET PG scores and its own MUIT Entrance Examination for PG admissions. Students with a valid CUET PG score can get direct admission, while others can appear for the MUIT Entrance Exam. The admission process is straightforward and many students have secured admission based on their graduation marks alone.
Ques. What is the total fee for MA Education at MUIT Lucknow?
Ans. The total tuition fee for MA Education at MUIT Lucknow is INR 63,000 for the 2-year programme (INR 31,500 per year). In addition, an examination fee of INR 2,000 per semester is charged separately. So the total payable over 2 years (excluding hostel) is approximately INR 71,000. Hostel charges, if opted, are INR 30,000 per year.
