Q1. Is the Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering at MUIT a full-time course or can I do it while working?
Ans. MUIT offers both Full-Time (Regular) and Part-Time/Evening modes for the Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The full-time programme requires regular attendance on campus, while the Part-Time/Evening mode is designed for working professionals. Make sure you apply for the correct mode as per your requirement.
Q2. What career roles can I pursue after completing the Diploma in ECE from MUIT?
Ans. Graduates can pursue entry-level roles such as Aerospace Technician, Telecommunications Engineer, Circuit Design Technician, Broadcast Technician, Assistant Electronic Engineer, and Micro Electrical Engineer in sectors like telecom, consumer electronics, IT, and automation. Many students also opt for lateral entry into B.Tech (ECE) to further enhance their qualifications.
Q3. After completing the Diploma in ECE from MUIT, can I get direct admission to B.Tech?
Ans. Yes. After completing the Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, you are eligible for lateral entry into the 2nd year of B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) at MUIT Lucknow and at other AKTU-affiliated colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
Q4. What is the actual fee I will pay after scholarship at MUIT for this Diploma?
Ans. The base tuition fee is INR 46,200 per year. If you scored 80% or above in your 10th board exams, you get a 20% scholarship, reducing the annual tuition to approximately INR 36,960. The examination fee of INR 2,000 per semester is charged separately and is not covered under the scholarship.
Q5. Does MUIT Lucknow provide campus placements for Diploma ECE students?
Ans. Yes, MUIT has a dedicated placement cell that works with recruiters across electronics, telecom, and manufacturing sectors. Diploma ECE students are included in campus placement drives for entry-level roles. Students are also advised to pursue internships during the course for better placement prospects.
Q6. What documents are required at the time of admission to the Diploma in ECE at MUIT?
Ans. The following documents are typically required: 10th marksheet and passing certificate, school transfer/leaving certificate, character certificate, recent passport-size photographs, Aadhaar card (identity proof), category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable), and migration certificate (if from a different board). Students applying under lateral entry must also submit their ITI certificate or 10+2 marksheet.
