Ques. Is B.Sc Mathematics at MUIT a regular/full-time course or can it be done part-time?
Ans. B.Sc Mathematics at MUIT Lucknow is a full-time, on-campus programme. Students are required to attend classes regularly at the Sitapur Road campus. There is no part-time or distance mode available for this specific programme at the Lucknow campus.
Ques. What is the actual fee I will pay per year for B.Sc Mathematics at MUIT, and are there any hidden charges?
Ans. The tuition fee is INR 40,000 per year. Additionally, an examination fee of INR 2,000 is charged per semester (INR 4,000 per year). The application/registration fee is INR 500 (one-time, non-refundable). So the effective annual cost is approximately INR 44,000. Hostel is optional at INR 50,000-60,000 per year. There are no other major hidden charges, though a late fee applies if fees are not paid on time.
Ques. Does MUIT accept CUET UG scores for B.Sc Mathematics admission, or is it purely merit-based?
Ans. MUIT accepts both direct merit-based admission (based on 10+2 marks) and CUET UG scores. Students who have appeared in CUET UG can use their scores for admission. However, direct admission based on 10+2 percentage is also available, making the process accessible even for students who have not appeared in CUET.

Ans. After B.Sc Mathematics from MUIT, students can pursue M.Sc Mathematics, MBA, MCA, or B.Ed for teaching careers. Career options include data analyst, statistician, actuary, software developer (with additional skills), bank PO/clerk, SSC/UPSC civil services, and school/college teacher. The university also offers a 10% concession for all girl students, which can be availed regardless of marks.
Ques. What is the difference between the 3-year B.Sc and the 4-year B.Sc (Hons. with Research) at MUIT?
Ans. Under the NEP 2020 framework, MUIT offers a flexible programme. After 3 years, students receive a B.Sc degree. If they choose to continue for a 4th year and complete a research dissertation, they receive a B.Sc (Hons. with Research) degree, which carries more weight for postgraduate admissions and research careers. Students also have the option to exit after 1 year (Certificate) or 2 years (Diploma) if needed, with the option to re-enter later.
