Glocal University came into existence in 2012 in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It is a deemed university, which is an amalgamation of 14 schools engaged in degree and diploma courses under different subjects. Glocal University offers M.B.B.S., B.A.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.Tech, B.Sc. (Mathematics and Chemistry), B.B.A., B.Com (Hons.), B.A. + L.L.B., B.B.A. + L.L.B., L.L.B., B.Sc. (Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry), B.A. (Mass Communication and Journalism), B.Ed., B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Sc. (Hons.) in four disciplines, M.Sc. and part-time M.Sc. in Physics and Chemistry, and Ph.D. in different fields.
Admission to all undergraduate courses at Glocal University is determined by the Glocal Admission Test (GAT), while admission to postgraduate programs is based on the GSBC-PG. However, for B.Tech programs, candidates must secure a rank in the JEE Main examination. Selection for law programs is based on candidates' scores in CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) or LSAT (Law School Admission Test), along with their performance in a personal interview. For B.Ed., B.Pharm., and D.Pharm. programs, the selection process relies on the scores obtained in the GAT. Candidates applying for M.Sc., M.Tech, and MCA courses in various specializations must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; admissions to these courses are merit-based. Finally, selection for Ph.D. programs is based on GATE, NET, or SLET scores, followed by a personal interview.
The application process at the university is available both online and offline. To gain admission to the MBBS program, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), with English as a compulsory subject. For admission to the B.A.M.S. program, candidates must have studied Sanskrit as a compulsory subject in their secondary education (10th grade) and must have completed their 10+2 from any recognized board with Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Sanskrit as core subjects. For the B.U.M.S. program, candidates must include Urdu as one of their compulsory subjects at the 10th level and should possess a 10+2 passing certificate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The selection of candidates for the MBBS, B.A.M.S., and B.U.M.S. programs is based on the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) or CPMEE (Combined Pre-Medical Entrance Examination).
