Eligibility Criteria

Admission Process

Scholarships:

GITAM offers comprehensive merit-based and need-based scholarship schemes for MA Economics students. Merit scholarships are awarded based on performance in GAT or national entrance exams, ranging from 15% to 100% of tuition fees. Need-based scholarships are available for students whose combined family income is less than 8 LPA. Additional scholarships are offered for employee children, alumni, and sports achievers. All scholarships are subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in subsequent years.

Merit Scholarship Criteria

Additional Scholarships:

• Employee Children Scholarships: 60%, 40%, and 20% of tuition fees
• Loyalty Scholarships: 10% for alumni, alumni children, siblings, retired employee children, and GITAM employee spouses
• Need-Based Scholarships: Eligible students with family income below 8 LPA can upgrade their merit scholarship by 25%
• Additional 20% hostel fee scholarship for need-based scholarship recipients in lower slabs (15%, 25%, 40%, 60%)

• Merit scholarships apply only to the first year.
• Continuation in subsequent years requires maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.0.
• Scholarship combinations cannot exceed 75% unless the student qualifies for 100% merit or need-based scholarship.
