Likes

the mess food is pretty much good now as camporison to starting, girls are way less than boys
there is also canteen near us for having food

Dislikes

college is way far from the main city, that i dont like it

Internships Opportunities:

actually my company don't provide internships , they bring company into college for internships and placements , the stipend is 50000-200000 , there are 2 main projects ,one is minor project of 3 credit and one is major project of 5 credit

SUMMARY ABOUT IIIT KOTA

Likes

The junior senior relationship in this college is much better than others we can easily approach our seniors and ask for them the gender ratio of the college is relatively better too given that it's an enginnering college
One more thing that's relatively better than other engineering colleges are our subjects we don't have to study physics chemistry for our CSE program the subjects are often releted to IT industry only
There's little to no restriction in hostel we can go out whenever we want we can bring our parents to our rooms we can order online food even at midnight it's like we can do whatever we want in our hostel

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is very weak there's no ongoing work to fix it we are 4 people living in a room of 3 with shared cupboard due to overpopulation the washing machines are often not working which causes a lot of problems
The college was opened in 2013 and yet there's only 10 permanent faculty and the rest are guest faculty who are often inexperienced
The digital infrastructure of the college is very weak there's on system where we can check out fees status or attendance even though 75% attendance is mandatory

Internships Opportunities:

i don't know much about internship opportunity here but everyone seems to find some sort of inntership since there's a strong coding culture. this year VISA visited us for internship but alot of internships are off campus but there are plenty of opportunities if you're good enough since seniors and teachers are always there to help us.

harsh reality of college

Likes

the mess food and the cleanyness in campus
the ranpur lake and peace and fun events
there are more tourist place near collage in kota so it will be fun for us

Dislikes

the ece feculty and their behavior for students
their is no relative marking sechema here
teacher are very less supportive specially ece feculty they not are not allowed for any event their no good hostel facility here in single room they alllote 2 student they dont have hostel for student still they try to fit all

Internships Opportunities:

their is no internship oppotunities in campus you have to applied it on out campus and one think their is good repotation of iiit kota in case of hackathon so on that basis we applied for developer post in out campus with a stipend of 10000

A Fine Review of IIIT Kota

Likes

Girls to boys ratio is 1:5, there is a good coding culture here. Hostels are Decent.

Dislikes

Mess food is not that satisfactory, Library is very small.

Internships Opportunities:

Companies visited are mainly nvidia, amazon, shipsy, meesho and upstock, stipend is good, approximately 80000 per month, there are many projects that students make on thier own and with a greaT output and everything

my opinion on iiit kota.

Likes

it has very structured academic block peacefull envirorment.
its lecturers they very kind with everyone .
labs are very well equipped with sufficient equiments.

Dislikes

hostel facilities it is worst from my prespective.
mess food it can be very much improved to make it hygine.
no proper maintence of path ways there are snakes everywhere.

all indian companies come here for placements while for interships nvdia recuirts more students from here ,roles are assigned by our choice and we learn about corporate culuture from them a stipend of 1 lakh is expected.

What we know about the iiit kota

Likes

Its lecturers and quality of lectures they care a lot.
Its infrastructure it is well maintained on outside.
Its cafeteria it is well equipped with everything.

Dislikes

Its hostel mess food it was below average.
Its hostel facilities bathroom were open .
There are only three courses available so I think they should add more.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships offered by companies in campus are to say good only we get to learn outside pressure for real job. They offer different roles based on your interests, they can provide an stipend upto 1 to 2 lakhs per month.

Seniors are very helpful and friendly you can reach it then at any time they would help you with all their efforts.
Teachers are also very passionate about teaching their subjects and concepts and accepts all the doubts or problems,even after classes in their free times.They also help exploring or implementation of any ideas or belief's
The hostel and mess staff are also very great in terms of their services and their efforts for us students.wr have higenic cleaning facilities and quality food to all the students in ample quantity. Se

Dislikes

There are many animal such as dogs and cows inside which litter aal around whole campus and even some times hostel hallways are all covered with dog poop and pee , cows are seen in the hallways, stairs and even lifts.
There is no such availability outside the campus,it's all forest and trees,there is a small village 2 kilometres away but it doesn't has all the necessary items required,it has just basic facilities ,but not yet to the mark.
The canteen is very small and not able to suffice all the needs of the students it is very small and only one canteen at the back of academic block and it takes over 20-30 minutes for any order simple or complex.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good and compareble with the current situation and buildup of the college,in the last year placements of 2024 highest package of 58 lpa was recorded which was grabbed by a student under ece Branch other that avg placement packages are also decent ranging from 12-13 lpa .

IIIT Kota - Talent meets Tech

Likes

Good Campus Culture: Supportive seniors who act as your mentors, and the environment is very student friendly.
Extra Curricular Activities: Presence of Active Societies and Clubs make the student engaging and collaborative.
Course Structure: The latest UG curriculum is very well structured and has been carefully constructed.

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be Better: Construction of dispensary should be done.
Connectivity: The connectivity of the institute from the main city could be improved.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are allowed while and after 3rd year and you also get credits for those internships. To be precise after 5th semester and you can sit for both internships and placements after 6th semester. Currently I am doing a summer internship here at CollegeDunia.

About iiit kota you need to know

Likes

The college is built in 100 acres of land. The seniors are so helpful and friendly. Some of the facility in the college is so good and experienced. The hostels are good and newly built so condition is good.
There is a canteen in the college and you can visit it any time.
Since the campus is in developing phase the placement will get better with time. The mess food is kinda decent

Dislikes

The college is in construction phase, there are no decent grounds, trees and greenery.
The management of the college is not that good. You can't expect too much from the college.
The gender ratio is about 4:1 . Only hostels and academic building is made till now.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 7 th semester. Many good companies visited in the campus. The last year highest package was around 1 cr (off campus). On campus was above 50 lakhs. About 75% student were placed on campus. I am also planning for placement, it would be good if I will get on campus job.

Learning as Intern

Likes

Lots of clubs are there for extra curricular activities.
Anti-Ragging plan is there. Cooperative seniors. Placements are nearly good,
Everything happens on time, classes, exams, events, internships etc.

Dislikes

The campus is not fully build yet, it is in under construction. Only Hostels and Academic Block are built, there are no sports complex, very small gym, library, mess , academic block, no smart classes, even faculties are only the staff etc.
The campus of college is located near district border side in a village area that's way its infrastructure is poor.
The branch faculty's teaching is not much effective. Teaching skills of core branches must be reform. There are lots of classes in day so students are unable to prevent time for self studies and other activities.

Recently our few seinors got job in google and amazon. This provides internships in data analyst , AI/ML engineer, product manager. Projects AI based chatbot, Image recogination system, stock market prediction.
