IIIT Kota - Talent meets Tech

Likes

Good Campus Culture: Supportive seniors who act as your mentors, and the environment is very student friendly.
Extra Curricular Activities: Presence of Active Societies and Clubs make the student engaging and collaborative.
Course Structure: The latest UG curriculum is very well structured and has been carefully constructed.

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be Better: Construction of dispensary should be done.
Connectivity: The connectivity of the institute from the main city could be improved.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are allowed while and after 3rd year and you also get credits for those internships. To be precise after 5th semester and you can sit for both internships and placements after 6th semester. Currently I am doing a summer internship here at CollegeDunia.

About iiit kota you need to know

Likes

The college is built in 100 acres of land. The seniors are so helpful and friendly. Some of the facility in the college is so good and experienced. The hostels are good and newly built so condition is good.
There is a canteen in the college and you can visit it any time.
Since the campus is in developing phase the placement will get better with time. The mess food is kinda decent

Dislikes

The college is in construction phase, there are no decent grounds, trees and greenery.
The management of the college is not that good. You can't expect too much from the college.
The gender ratio is about 4:1 . Only hostels and academic building is made till now.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 7 th semester. Many good companies visited in the campus. The last year highest package was around 1 cr (off campus). On campus was above 50 lakhs. About 75% student were placed on campus. I am also planning for placement, it would be good if I will get on campus job.

Learning as Intern

Likes

Lots of clubs are there for extra curricular activities.
Anti-Ragging plan is there. Cooperative seniors. Placements are nearly good,
Everything happens on time, classes, exams, events, internships etc.

Dislikes

The campus is not fully build yet, it is in under construction. Only Hostels and Academic Block are built, there are no sports complex, very small gym, library, mess , academic block, no smart classes, even faculties are only the staff etc.
The campus of college is located near district border side in a village area that's way its infrastructure is poor.
The branch faculty's teaching is not much effective. Teaching skills of core branches must be reform. There are lots of classes in day so students are unable to prevent time for self studies and other activities.

Recently our few seinors got job in google and amazon. This provides internships in data analyst , AI/ML engineer, product manager. Projects AI based chatbot, Image recogination system, stock market prediction.

A good but incomplete IIIT KOTA

Likes

Good and new beds and all are alloted as it is new .
Girls ratio are 2:3 , which is good for boys but not for me 😅
Teachers are strict which is good for students .

Dislikes

No sports facilities,no coaches,no particular ground ,it will be constructed.
Mess food ,having only same menu all over a week.
The ratio of students are mostly south domination.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite ,highest are 83 LPA . And this year highest is 42 LPA . companies are which took students are google , microsoft,amazon and all.percentage of students getting placement are nearly 75 percentage.

nice college

Likes

my college provide me highly profiled faculty and they are so experienced and they help me a lot.
my college opened only three branches and these three branches have vast scope in future
access to knowledgeable faculty and resource. Resource like books which my college provided are best and so popular.

Dislikes

infrastructure of my college is not very well and there is defeciency of facilities
my college is far away from city and there is so much problem arises.
college have not the good ground and there is no light.

The Placement in my college are descent. So many amazing companies visited here for different different post and many recruitments are opened. In any case if there is no placement offered i am going to off campus placement.

Likes

the faculty members are very experienced and are very high profiled
the college have only three branches and it will help in future
the college come under MNIT Jaipur which is favourable to us

Dislikes

the infrastructure is not good here and have very less facilities
college are far away from city and have very facilities
college have not a cricket ground and not sufficient light

From 7 semester students are eligible for palcements and they are eligible for internship for 5 semester and the highest package of our college was 93 lpa recently and many highly profiled company visited this year and many offers made to the students and the average package is around 12 lpa this year an daround 80percent are placed this time and my plans after getting the degree is to purse job

cirriculum is good as compare to other colleges.
The subjects are directly linked to what we have to do in our employee life
Hostel are good like rooms and other facilities are good

Dislikes

Faculty are not so good for some subjects and have limited faculties
sports facilites are not there they are under construction only few sports we can play on limited area
The campus is built in an industrial area. There are industries all around which make it smeely sometimes and also air and water are not pure

Internships Opportunities:

Internships for this year is not started yet but they are saying that this will be starting from january. some good company approach to this college I don't know the name of them but I have listen it from seniors and an avg stipend of 40000 is offered generallly. I

Likes

In my college there is only three branches so we have high opportunity for internship and jobs
The faculties are also from highly qualified background like IITs and premier institute BITS pilani
My campus area is around 100 acres and there is no any restriction for girls and boys

Dislikes

My college is newly builded and far away from city
There is strict environment in college for attendance and attending any meeting in auditorium
College infrastructure is under construction

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies provided internship like TCS , INFOSYS they provided the internship for 6 months and I clearly have not idea about stipend. MANY projects like AI /ML , DSA linking project students prepare for the company

GOOD PLACEMENT WITH NO CAMPUS LIFE AND SPORTS FACILITIES .

Likes

Seniors have Good Skills and Knowledge regarding their Field and are helpful if asked and Raging is very Rare here.
Technical Clubs have enough Exposure for you to develop your skills and Sharpen Them
Placement is Pretty Okayish.Average is 13.5 LPA for CSE all because of Hardworking seniors and Tnp otherwise no special Thing in College

Dislikes

Most of Faculties are IIT/BITS PhD graduates but lack Teaching Skills and Conceptual clarity ,they only focus on Syllabus completion.few teachers are exception here
Curriculum is good but It is outdated as per Industry standards.In first Year we are being Taught C language which is used absolutely no where in modern IT Industry.
College has 100 Acre Campus but mostly it is Grass and Emptiness. Even No Sports facilities are there.No Sports Complex.

Internships Opportunities:

Many students secure internship in third year.College allows off campus internship in 4th year only.Internship is bit rate and not everyone gets internship.One must be highly skilled to secure internship. On campus internship is not in good condition while many students secure off Campus internship through skills.some Seniors have secured Internships In Companies like Brane, Gap Inc, Samsung, Amazon, Microsoft and other AI companies.Students get internships in roles of Product Analyst intern, Full stack Web Dev intern,App dev Intern etc

IIIT KOTA LIFE AND HOSTEL REVIEW

Likes

Teachers are supportive and reachable at any time
Computer centre timings in exam are extended from 8 am morning to 12 am in night
There are too many Clubs and societies to choose

Dislikes

Mess food sometime is good but sometime messed up
Loaction is way out from kota main city .
Pollution is too much as factories are in neighbourhood

Internships Opportunities:

We are in first year so we didnt know about internship companies who came but we know somthing good our college give us a period of complete semester to go to internship majorly all college say you cant go for internship more than 3 months but here its limit is 6months
