Amity Noida Ph.D. Solar Energy Fees

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Physics (with specialization in Solid State Physics / Material Science / Nanotechnology / Electronics / Renewable Energy / Solar Energy / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biotechnology) OR M.Tech in Electronics / Material Science / Renewable Energy / Solar Energy / Nanotechnology from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Alternatively, candidates with a B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics / Material Science / Renewable Energy / Solar Energy / Nanotechnology with a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA are eligible for direct admission to the Full-Time Ph.D. program.
SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement as per UGC Regulations 2022.

Admission Process

Shortlisted candidates appear for the APET (Amity PhD Entrance Test) - a 90-minute test of 100 MCQs (50 marks General + 50 marks Subject-Specific), or are exempted if holding valid GATE / UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / INSPIRE scores.
Qualified / Exempted candidates appear for an Interview by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) - carrying 30 marks.
Selected candidates receive an admission letter on the Admission Microsite and must complete fee payment and registration formalities within the stipulated time.
Working professionals applying for Part-Time Ph.D. must submit an NOC from their employer at the time of registration.

Amity University offers the prestigious Amity Research Fellowship (ARF) to selected full-time Ph.D. scholars, providing a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 (Rs. 4.44 lakhs per year).
