Amity Noida Ph.D. (Materials and Devices) Fees

The Ph.D. (Materials and Devices) program at Amity University Noida involves a one-time registration fee of Rs. 10,000 and a refundable security deposit of Rs. 10,000, in addition to the per-semester academic fee. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an M.Sc. or M.Tech in Solid State Physics / Physics / Solid State Chemistry / Material Sciences / Solar and Alternate Energy / Nanotechnology / MEMS/NEMS / Industrial Physics / Electronic Science / Biochemistry / Biotechnology from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Alternatively, candidates with a B.Tech degree in relevant areas with a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA are eligible for direct admission to the Full-Time Ph.D. program.
SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement as per UGC Regulations 2022.

Admission Process

Fill and submit the online application form at www.amity.edu/phd along with required documents and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,500 online.
Shortlisted candidates appear for the APET (Amity PhD Entrance Test) - a 90-minute test of 100 MCQs (50 marks General + 50 marks Subject-Specific), or are exempted if holding valid GATE / UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / INSPIRE scores.
Qualified / Exempted candidates appear for an Interview by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) - carrying 30 marks.
Selected candidates receive an admission letter on the Admission Microsite and must complete fee payment and registration formalities within the stipulated time.
Working professionals applying for Part-Time Ph.D. must submit an NOC from their employer at the time of registration.

Amity University offers the prestigious Amity Research Fellowship (ARF) to selected full-time Ph.D. scholars, providing a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 (Rs. 4.44 lakhs per year).
