Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Biosensors / Bioelectronics / Physical Chemistry / Biology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Electronic Bio-Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a B.Tech degree in relevant areas with a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA are eligible for direct admission to the Full-Time Ph.D. program.
  • SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement as per UGC Regulations 2022.

  • Shortlisted candidates appear for the APET (Amity PhD Entrance Test) - a 90-minute test of 100 MCQs (50 marks General + 50 marks Subject-Specific), or are exempted if holding valid GATE / UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / INSPIRE / ICMR-JRF scores.
  • Qualified / Exempted candidates appear for an Interview by the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) - carrying 30 marks.
