Amity University BBA (BFSI) FAQs
Ques. Is the BBA (BFSI) at Amity Noida a good choice if I want to pursue a career in banking or insurance?
Ans. Yes, the programme is specifically designed for careers in banking, insurance, and financial services. It is offered by ASIBAS, a dedicated school for these domains. The curriculum covers practical subjects like Anti-Money Laundering, Motor Insurance, Life and General Insurance, and Wealth Management. However, students should note that Amity is considered a private university and placements may vary. Many students use this programme as a foundation before pursuing professional certifications like CFA, CA, or an MBA from a top institution.
Ques. What is the difference between the Non-Sponsored and Sponsored category at Amity?
Ans. Non-Sponsored is the general/merit category with a minimum eligibility of 55% in Class XII and lower fees (Rs. 1.31 Lakhs per semester). Sponsored is a lower-merit category with a minimum eligibility of 50% in Class XII but higher fees (Rs. 1.965 Lakhs per semester). The Admission Committee may recommend a category after the selection process, and students can choose to accept or decline the offer.
Ques. Does Amity Noida accept CUET scores for BBA (BFSI) admission?
Ans. Amity Noida accepts CUET-UG scores primarily for scholarship purposes, not as a mandatory admission requirement. Admission is based on the application and Personal Interview. However, students with strong CUET scores (90 percentile and above in each section) along with 85%+ in Class XII (CBSE/ISC) can avail a 100% scholarship on academic fees for the first year.
Ques. What professional certifications can I pursue alongside or after this BBA programme?
Ans. Students can pursue certifications like NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets), IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) certifications, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), and JAIIB/CAIIB (for banking). These certifications significantly enhance employability in the BFSI sector. Many students also opt for an MBA in Finance or Banking after completing this BBA.
Ques. Is hostel accommodation mandatory at Amity Noida?
Ans. No, hostel accommodation is not mandatory. It is optional and available for both boys and girls separately within the campus. The hostel fee for 2026 is Rs. 1,95,000 per annum for AC rooms (inclusive of boarding and laundry). A one-time refundable Hostel Security Deposit of Rs. 15,000 is also payable. Students who do not opt for hostel can commute via the university bus service or private transport. The campus is well-connected to Okhla Bird Sanctuary and Botanical Garden Metro Stations.
Ques. What is the minimum attendance requirement, and how strict is Amity about it?
Ans. Amity University requires a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible to appear in end-semester examinations. Attendance is calculated from the date of programme commencement or fee payment, whichever is later. Amity is known to be strict about attendance, and students who fall below the required threshold may not be permitted to sit for exams. This is a commonly raised concern by students on forums, and it is advisable to take attendance requirements seriously from day one.
