What is better, IT in VSSUT Burla or in CET BBSR?

VSSUT and CET are both autonomous universities. Here are some insights on pursuing B.Tech IT at these two- VSSUT is much older. This makes it a bigger brand. But in terms of location, CET is a clear winner. VSSUT is located in the small town of Burla. Burla has no direct air connectivity, and the fastest mode of transport is a 6 hour train journey from Bhubaneswar. Thus, top recruiters hesitate to visit the campus for placements. But the placement stats are good. The students miss out on competitive events and internship opportunities because of the distance from Bhubaneswar. CET is the only government institute in Bhubaneswar other than IIIT. More recruiters visit its campus during placement season. Samsung, Dell and Toshiba are some of the top companies that visit the CET campus. In terms of academics, VSSUT offers a flexible curriculum. This allows IT students to opt for a few advanced subjects. CET on the other hand, has a rigid course curriculum. In any case, make sure to polish your coding skills for a successful career in IT. To conclude, pursue your B.Tech IT from the institution that best suits your personal preferences.

What should I choose? CSE from "KIIT University" or IT from "College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar"?

It is suggested you choose CSE at KIIT University. One of my friends studied there. According to him, there is no comparison between the branch of KIIT CSE and CET. The companies visiting KIIT include major names such as Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Dell, Intel, HP. Placements are one of the things you must check before entering a university. KIIT offers good investments. The entire academic and non-academic exposure at KIIT is far greater. The faculty members are qualified from IITs and top NITs. They are skilled and cooperative. Fees and Financial Aid:

The year wise fees is RS 45400 out of which RS 5000 is for seat acceptance fees of OJEE. And the rest was admiussion fees for the category. My batchmates fees do vary as many of them are SC or General. There are numerous scholarships like SBI Kanya kalyan or OUTR merit or State scholarship or Yashasvi or Kotak mahindra etc and many more girl student oriented schemes and programmes.

OUTR Bhubaneswar insights

For Btech in IT the 1st year fee was Rs.95,000(ssc course) For tuition fee waiver you have to pay around Rs.45,000 per year. There are 2-3 scholarships available and each student can avail only one. One is based on your jee score where if you are in the top 10% of your class you will be getting Rs.10000. 2nd one is based on your income and matric score whereyoucan get upto Rs.20,000

Fee Structure for Selfy Sustaing course like for CSE/IT/BT is like 76000 per year. Fees for other branches like E&I/EE/ME/CE/TE is like 36000 per year . Scholarship of 10000 is provided to the students who scores good cgpa in semester exams. It is given to top 10% of each branch

CET, BBSR review

Tuition fees are distinguished as self-sustaining cources, such as mine, which is higher than the normal fees. Computer Science related cources are under self-sustaining course fee structure and is usually around 90k per year but through merit some relaxation could be provided such as TFW and scholarships.

My College Experience

As it is a Govt college the fees is around the lower side according to the current college academics

As our course is an SSC course so we have to pay a greater amount fees compared to other core branches. Our fees would sum upto 78000 a year for academics only with around 40000 a year for hostels . All the govt and private scholarships are applicable

Genuine Opinion about my college

The course fees for general courses like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and electronics engineering is Rs.32400 and for self financing courses like computer science and information Technology it is Rs.77000. Every year top 10% of the meritorious students get the college's own scholarship of Rs.10000.

Here the general Courses like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering etc have the course fees of Rs.32400 and self sustaining courses like CSE and IT have Rs.77000 per year. The college provides a scholarship amount of Rs.10000 to the top 10% of strengths of students according to merit. The students also get financial reservation under schemes called TFW and EWS etc.

For one year the fee is 82k for cse, the scholarship is merit-based, is as it is students and talking about the job I am in the first year so I didn't get any job till now but yes the seniors get a good package and the average salary is also good

As a part of the SSC (self-sustaining course) cost seems to be high but it's not as compared to private institutes. I have not enjoyed any scholarship because of the annual income of the family but if eligible you will get some.
